Job Description

As the AI Systems Architect, People and Places, you will lead the integration of scalable, responsible AI capabilities into Autodesk's HR technology ecosystem. This strategic, hands-on role involves evaluating and integrating AI technologies, including LLM-based solutions and Workday extensions. You will partner with IT, vendors, and HR stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation, bridging business needs with technical execution to build a next-generation HR tech stack. You will report to the Senior Director, People Insights & Solutions Design.

Must Have:
  • Own and lead the development of the PPL AI Tech Stack Roadmap.
  • Evaluate and recommend AI integrations across core HR platforms.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, IT, and vendor partners.
  • Support development and implementation of LLM-based tools, Workday extensions, or agentic workflows.
  • Define and manage standards for integration, data flow, security, and extensibility in an AI-enabled HR ecosystem.
  • Monitor the external HR tech market for emerging AI vendors.
  • Contribute to tech due diligence, solution design, and change planning.
  • 10+ years of experience in HR technology, enterprise architecture, or digital transformation roles.
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) and knowledge of their AI capabilities.
  • Understanding of APIs, data architecture, system integration, and platform extensibility.
  • Strong product thinking and ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Familiarity with LLMs, conversational AI, or agent-based architecture in a corporate setting.
  • Experience collaborating with IT and vendor partners to deliver scalable technology solutions.
  • Experience working in enterprise environments with complex HR tech stacks.

Position Overview

As the AI Systems Architect, People and Places you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our HR technology ecosystem by embedding scalable, responsible AI capabilities into our tools and platforms. You will be responsible for evaluating and integrating AI technologies—from LLM-based solutions to Workday extensions—while partnering across IT, vendors, and HR stakeholders to ensure seamless and effective implementation. This is a strategic, hands-on role that bridges business needs with technical execution, helping us build a next-generation HR tech stack.

You will report into the Senior Director, People Insights & Solutions Design and will work remotely based in the United States or Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the development of the PPL AI Tech Stack Roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and digital strategy
  • Evaluate and recommend AI integrations across core HR platforms (e.g., Workday, Learning Systems, Recruiting Tools) and point solutions
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, IT, and vendor partners to assess build vs. buy options for new AI capabilities
  • Support development and implementation of LLM-based tools, Workday extensions, or agentic workflows where appropriate
  • Define and manage standards for integration, data flow, security, and extensibility in an AI-enabled HR ecosystem
  • Monitor the external HR tech market to identify emerging AI vendors and best-in-class platforms
  • Contribute to tech due diligence, solution design, and change planning across pilot and scaled deployments
  • Work with ESE partners to prioritize PPL asks

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in HR technology, enterprise architecture, or digital transformation roles
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) and knowledge of their AI capabilities
  • Understanding of APIs, data architecture, system integration, and platform extensibility
  • Strong product thinking and ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  • Familiarity with LLMs, conversational AI, or agent-based architecture in a corporate setting
