Job Description

The Analog and Mixed Signal IC R&D Test Engineer will be involved in the development of high-end Power Management Integrated Circuits (PMICs) and Resonant Converters for various markets. The role involves collaborating with R&D, Product Engineering, and Quality teams, as well as worldwide Engineering and Manufacturing teams. Responsibilities include designing for test, developing ATE test packages, supporting new product validation, and enabling fast automated testing. The engineer will contribute to architecture definition, simulation, and data analysis. The role demands proactive problem-solving, presenting clear outcomes, and collaborating within a multicultural environment. This position offers opportunities for skill and leadership development within a growing and dynamic market.

Your team

The Advance Power Systems (APS) product line develops high end Power Management Integrated Circuits (PMICs) and Resonant Converters semiconductors for Automotive, Power Delivery and Industrial markets.

At the heart of our New Project Introduction activity, you will be part of the APS EMEA Test Engineering team, located both in France and Netherlands, focused on advanced Analog and Mixed Signal Integrated Circuits development.

You will have day to day interactions with our R&D development teams, Product Engineering and Quality experts, and close collaboration with our worldwide Engineering and Manufacturing teams.

The position is open to our Toulouse (France) R&D location, with possibility to consider also our Nijmegen (Netherlands) R&D locations, offering full access to Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and validation labs.

Your job

Your missions will include:

Design For Test expertise to contribute to the architecture definition of our new products, by bringing a deep and smart understanding of IC features and optimum associated test solutions.

Innovative ATE test package definition and  development for both hardware and software, including simulation of the IC test setups in our unique Virtual Test environment.

Support new products from validation of prototype versions to transfer of high volume production test packages to our manufacturing factories.

Enable fast automated test of early prototype samples to our customers

Day to day collaboration with our R&D development teams to allow NXP to achieve its time to market, total quality and production cost targets.

Your skills

Proactive, curious, open minded, engaged and persevering, with a Master or Engineering degree in electronic field, you can demonstrate your skills in:

  • Strong Analog and mixed signal electronic knowledge (DC/DC converters background a plus)
  • Programming language (C++, Python a plus)
  • Electronics boards definition and schematics development
  • Analog Parameters measurement and automated/Lab test equipment
  • Metrology, measurement accuracy, statistical data analysis
  • Simulation of electronic devices (LTSPICE, CADENCE,…) 
  • Problem solving methodology
  • Test plan creation
  • Synthesis skill to present clear outcomes of complex test campaigns
  • Background of practical electronic manipulation (assembly, soldering, programming..), professionally or for hobby

A 5+ years’ experience in the semiconductor industry will be a major plus.
