Middle QA Engineer

About the job:

Playmatrix makes live casino games, like blackjack and roulette. We're looking for an experienced Middle QA Specialist to make sure our games are the best quality.

You'll be a key player in testing our games and features on many different devices. This role needs you to be an expert in how to test software, understand web and server technologies well, and be able to check the quality of our live video streams. If you're a seasoned QA professional with a passion for quality and experience in online gambling, we want to hear from you.

What You'll get to do:

• Perform comprehensive manual testing of games and features (UI, UX, functional, exploratory, cross-browser, cross-device).
• Analyze project requirements for deep understanding of features.
• Execute extensive manual testing of features and user accounts on web and mobile.
• Design and maintain detailed test cases and checklists.
• Identify, document, and prioritize bugs with clear reproduction steps using tools like JIRA.
• Ensure consistent UI across devices, browsers, and OS versions, focusing on responsiveness and performance.
• Act as a quality advocate in agile teams, participating in grooming/planning, and mentoring QA members.
• Identify high-risk areas and ensure thorough regression testing before releases.
• Conduct root cause analysis for issues.
• Test APIs and system integrations for proper communication and functionality.
• Collaborate with development and product teams to clarify requirements and provide quality insights throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Active participation in the development process.

What You need to know:

• Minimum 3 years of background in manual testing (both web and mobile).
• Experience and strong grasp of QA theory and Agile methodologies.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies.
• Solid understanding of web technologies (CSS/HTML5) and client-server architectures (REST/HTTP/WebSocket).
• Proficient with API testing tools like Postman/Swagger for validating front-end/back-end interactions.
• Experience in writing/supporting test documentation (test plans, test cases, bug reports, checklists).
• Comfortable working with QA and project management tools such as Jira, TestRail, and Confluence.
• Experience testing video streaming functionality, including quality, latency, and cross-device compatibility.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail.
• Prior experience in the gambling industry.
• Ability to manage products from testing to release.
