Job Description
The Android Middleware/Framework Developer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing software solutions. This includes analyzing and solving software engineering problems using scientific methods. They will also be involved in the design, development, and maintenance of software, requiring original thought and judgment. The developer will collaborate with other software engineers and stakeholders. The role requires a deep understanding of programming concepts and software design principles, working autonomously and leading teams. They should understand internal/external client needs and offer advice and be able to assess and adapt to project issues, formulate innovative solutions, and drive the team to succeed against its technical and commercial goals. They should also be aware of profitability needs and may manage costs for specific project/work area.
Must have:
- Proficiency in problem solving and troubleshooting technical issues.
- Experience in using performance analysis tools (Android Profiler, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Android architecture and memory management.
- Strong understanding of Android HALs, Car Framework, Android graphics pipeline, DRM, Codecs.
- Good knowledge in Hardware abstraction layers in Android and/or Linux.
- Good understanding of the git, CI/CD workflow.
- Experience in agile based projects.
- Experience with Linux as a development platform and target.
- Extensive experience with Jenkins and Gitlab CI system.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, Grafana, etc.
- Experience with different testing frameworks and their implementation in CI system.
- Programming using C/C++, Java/Kotlin, Linux.
- Yocto and its use in CI Environments.
- Familiarity with ASPICE.
