• Within the Transmission Systems Product Group, the Valeo Amiens site comprises a research center and an industrial site. The research center works, among other things, on the development of transmission systems for the electrification of automotive and heavy-duty vehicles.
• You will be integrated into the NeMo (New Mobility Center). As an R&D apprentice, your mission: to develop new wet clutch products related to the hybridization & electrification of the automotive market (brainstorming, concept research, dimension chains, etc.), perform CAD design (3D, 2D Catia V5), research, specify and characterize technical solutions meeting functional needs, carry out calculation requests, participate in drafting specifications, participate in launching the prototype phase, standardize and develop new design tools (welding, gearing, etc.). But also, monitor and analyze the technical characteristics related to the production of the latest generation of hybrid clutches.

Your challenges?

• Be an active support for design work by participating in technical justifications in conjunction with the R&D teams.
• Supervise the launch, planning, and monitoring of design calculations.
• Contribute to the freedom to operate our products by analyzing competitor patents and drafting and filing new patents.
• Ensure the transfer of skills and knowledge by writing and disseminating new standards.

Let's talk technical...

• You are entering a mechanical or general engineering school program with a dominance in design.
• You have basic knowledge of CAD design (ideally Catia V5).
• You have a good level of English, allowing you to communicate in an international environment.
• You have a strong ability to communicate and seek information from various multi-disciplinary contacts.

In addition...

• You are curious, interested in the automotive world and complex systems, and motivated by product sizing and validation challenges.
• Autonomous and rigorous, you are pragmatic, with good analytical and synthesis skills.
• You have good interpersonal skills and are proactive by nature.
