Job Description

The Area Manager at SBM Management is responsible for overseeing company programs and staff to ensure contract compliance. Key duties include assisting with safety programs, implementing employee recognition, managing budgets, maintaining customer relationships, conducting site audits, and developing efficiency plans. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with a Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of experience. Some travel is required to inspect accounts and visit customers, ensuring operational excellence.
Must have:
  • Manage company programs and area staff for contract compliance.
  • Assist with overall safety programs for each site.
  • Implement employee safety, attendance, and recognition programs.
  • Manage and provide direction for forecasts and budgets.
  • Maintain relationships with key customer contacts.
  • Consolidate and provide weekly Site Reports.
  • Complete scheduled and unscheduled site audits.
  • Schedule and manage QBR calendar.
  • Develop plans for efficient use of resources.
  • Review and provide training on employee communication and purchases.
  • Responsible for day-to-day operational activities.
  • Inspect all assigned accounts and visit customers.
  • Assist supervisors to ensure performance meets specifications.
  • Some travel will be required.

Description

Position at SBM Management

The Area Manager will be responsible for managing company programs and area staff to ensure compliance with contract duties between company and customer.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with overall safety programs for each site within area of responsibility
  • Implement/standardize employee safety, attendance, and recognition programs for all sites
  • Manage and provide direction in preparation of forecast and budgets
  • Provide recommendations on budget modifications to local management and/or Corporate Finance
  • Assist with maintaining one on one relationship with key customer contacts at each site
  • Consolidate and provide weekly Site Reports to Regional Manager
  • Complete scheduled and unscheduled site audits with staff and key customer contacts
  • Schedule and manage QBR calendar for assigned area
  • Develop plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees
  • Review and provide training, direction on employee communication, InSite, supplies and equipment purchases
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operational activities for a specified area
  • Inspect all assigned accounts and frequently visit customers
  • Assist supervisors to ensure performance to customer and SBM specifications are met
  • Some travel will be required for this position
  • Perform other duties, as assigned

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, or a related field from a four-year college or university with 2-5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
