This role plays an integral part in Logistics processes to support the delivery of superior Customer Service levels and commercial ambition. Key responsibilities include managing freight forwarder and customs clearance LSP contracts, ensuring accuracy of shipping documents and customs declaration sheets, direct contact with the Customs Department for clearance processes and price consultation of FMCG, following inbound freight processes, managing payments to LSPs and distributors, being the primary contact for inventory availability for the Commercial business, ensuring allocation of inbound freight from CTS and prompt resolution of discrepancies, tracking inbound freight spend and reporting variances to budget, coordinating and executing re-packing activities, managing scheduling with re-pack facilities, handling CERP system transactions and e-invoices, and ensuring compliance with GSK Quality and EHS Standards. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or equivalent, with some college or equivalent work experience being an advantage. Strong business administration/project coordination experience, technical savvy in Microsoft software, knowledge of GSK systems, attention to detail, organizational skills, and good communication skills are required.

Job Purpose:

Play an integral role in Logistics processes to support the delivery of superior Customer Service levels to support the Commercial ambition

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the Freight Forwarder and Customs Clearance LSP’s contract through the Supplier Relationship Model ensuring agreed service levels are being achieved.
  • Responsible for shipping documents/Customs declaration sheets accuracy
  • Directly contact with Customs Department related to clearance process and price consultation of FMCG to ensure service levels are achieved
  • Follow Inbound Freight processes
  • Management of payment to LSP and distributor related spent
  • Primary contact for Inventory availability for the Commercial business.
  • Ensure the allocation of Inbound Freight from CTS and prompt resolution of discrepancies. Understand root cause of issues and remedy.
  • Follow process for tracking of Inbound Freight spend and reporting of variances to Budget.
  • Coordination and execution of re-packing activities within the market to support the Commercial business.
  • Management of scheduling activities with the Re-pack facilities and communication to the Commercial business of product availability
  • In charge of CERP system transaction and E-invoice.
  • Ensure compliance with GSK Quality and EHS Standards.

Key Qualifications:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Logistics or equivalent
  • Some college or equivalent work experience (consult manager on equivalent work experience) will be an added advantage.
  • Business Administration/Project Coordination experience
  • Technically savvy in the Microsoft software platform and web tools
  • Knowledge of GSK systems, processes and policies is an added advantage
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal, communications and written skills
