Associate Lead Simulation & Dynamics (H/F/NB)

As part of the production of the game Star Wars Eclipse, we are looking for an Associate Lead Simulation & Dynamics to strengthen our Character Tech-Art team. This team is in charge of the technical setup of 3D characters, hair, clothing, and dynamic element simulation.

As an Associate Lead, you will work closely with the Lead Simulation & Dynamics, as well as with the Artistic Director (AD) to ensure the artistic and technical consistency of the characters. You will play a key role in operational management, inter-team communication, and the continuous improvement of processes.

Your missions

• Assist the Lead in the daily management of the Simulation & Dynamics team.
• Organize and monitor schedules, tasks, priorities, and deliverables.
• Serve as a communication relay between teams (Character tech-art, Character setup, animation, production, artistic direction…).
• Actively participate in the planning and organization of production.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and tools.
• Manage internal validations and monitor the quality of deliverables.
• Conduct regular game reviews to identify bugs or problems related to simulations and ensure their resolution.
• Technically supervise team members: mentoring, feedback, support.
• Collaborate closely with the Artistic Director to ensure the visual quality and artistic consistency of dynamic elements.

Your qualities that will make the difference

• Confirmed experience (5 years or more) in the field of Simulation/Dynamics for video games or 3D animation.
• Previous experience in team management or coordination.
• Mastery of character animation setup methods, particularly for cloth and hair simulation.
• Very good communication skills, both written and oral, in French and English.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, anticipate, and structure production.
• Comfortable in a transversal role requiring numerous exchanges with technical and artistic teams.
• Pragmatic, highly organized, rigorous, autonomous, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Experience with proprietary software or internal pipelines (training will be provided).
• Experience on AAA or ambitious projects.
• Scripting skills (Python, MEL).
• Knowledge of DCC tools (Maya, Houdini…).
