The Talent Associate is an integral part of The Talent Group, working with cross-functional teams to propose, cast, and book talent for commercial projects across all Condé Nast properties. This role involves managing high-volume email correspondence, leading internal brainstorming meetings, identifying diverse talent across various media landscapes, and acting as a strategic liaison between talent managers and internal departments. The associate will also oversee talent during on-site production and manage detailed trackers for efficient workflow.
Must have:
  • Manage high-volume email correspondence and act as key liaison.
  • Lead and document daily talent brainstorming meetings.
  • Identify and cast diverse talent across various media.
  • Act as strategic liaison between talent managers and departments.
  • Oversee talent during on-site production and events.
  • Maintain detailed trackers and spreadsheets using Google Suite.

  • Relationships with Talent Agencies, PR Firms, Digital Influencer Agencies, Record Labels, Model Agents, etc.
  • An understanding of the aspects of contractual talent booking including: executing contracts, talent negotiations, model booking, music clearances, content usage and SAG guidelines
  • Experience in crafting deals with all forms of talent including but not limited to: celebrities, chefs, entrepreneurs, social media influencers, artists, athletes, musicians, designers, etc.

Job Details

The Talent Associate will work with a collaborative, cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment. The Talent Associate plays an integral role in the success of The Talent Group by collaborating with the creative, sales and marketing teams to help propose, cast and book talent for commercial projects across all Conde Nast properties.

Overview/Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a highly organized and proactive communicator who manages high-volume email correspondence and acts as a key liaison across multiple internal teams
  • Lead, prepare for, take notes during, and structure email correspondence for a twice-daily internal talent brainstorming and strategy meeting
  • Identify and cast diverse talent that resonate with Condé Nast audiences across the media landscape, including but not limited to: tv, film, music, food, fashion, design, beauty, fitness, tech, travel, and sports, ranging from tastemakers and entrepreneurs to influencers and celebrities
  • Act as a strategic filter and point of contact between talent managers and various internal departments
  • Help manage and oversee talent during on-site production and/or at Condé Nast tentpole events
  • Demonstrate strong proficiency in Google Suite by managing and maintaining detailed trackers and spreadsheets to ensure clear organization, accurate accounting of expenses, and efficient workflow coordination for multiple programs and tasks

Requirements / Skills:

  • Strong communication skills, team player, eager to cooperate and collaborate with counterparts in the internal organization
  • Anticipate potential challenges, leveraging team expertise for collaborative problem-solving while developing the autonomy to address issues independently as experience grows
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, ability to multi-task and follow strict deadlines in a high pressure work environment
  • Proven ability to manage relationships, creatively problem solve, and drive processes forward for change
  • Highly organized and proactive communicator to manage a high volume of email correspondence and serve as a key liaison across multiple internal teams
  • An invested interest in the talent landscape, including awareness of trending figures in popular culture, knowledge of buzzy upcoming projects, and talent’s prior brand partnerships

The expected base salary range for this position is from $80,000-$87,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education.

In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates may also be eligible to receive discretionary bonus compensation.
