Onward Search is hiring a Business Development Manager, Commercial Services for a leading global hospitality organization. This remote, 1-year contract role involves driving business development, managing strategic accounts, and generating new opportunities using structured sales methodologies. The role focuses on fostering strong partnerships and presenting compelling value propositions to clients within the Commercial Services team.

  • Develop and maintain accurate sales reports and support account research and qualification activities.
  • Engage with industry organizations, hotel owners, and management groups to foster strong partnerships.

Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation’s leading brands. We’re hiring for a leading global hospitality organization. This remote, U.S.-based opportunity is a 1-year contract role.

In this role, you will join the Commercial Services team to drive business development, manage strategic accounts, and generate new opportunities using structured sales methodologies. You’ll play a key part in fostering strong partnerships and presenting compelling value propositions to clients.

There is no application deadline for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Research, evaluate, and qualify new and existing accounts using solution-selling methodology.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of sales prospects through internal and external prospecting tools.
  • Clearly communicate account opportunities and updates to stakeholders, ensuring smooth transitions within the Commercial Services team.
  • Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to set account goals and coordinate sales efforts.
  • Present the company’s value proposition, including dynamic pricing and sales programs, to clients.
  • Develop and maintain accurate sales reports and support account research and qualification activities.
  • Engage with industry organizations, hotel owners, and management groups to foster strong partnerships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5–8 years of progressive service industry experience, including at least 2 years in multi-unit or corporate-level roles.
  • Strong knowledge of sales principles, Strategic Account Management, and business planning.
  • Proficiency with CRM and sales tools (Salesforce preferred).
  • Understanding of transient and group RFP processes, GDS, distribution channels, hotel operations, and rate loading.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a virtual role, with occasional travel (approx. 5%).
