Our AML Analytics team in Malta is currently looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to join the team.

In this role you will proactively support the development of Business Intelligence for our Malta office by leading the creation of dashboards and reports for key stakeholders. 

Way of working: Hybrid, 3 days in the office.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Support the creation of the new target state framework & governance for end-to-end reporting, tooling integration and self-service BI products.
• Maintain VGW reporting taxonomy by updating and classifying terms and metrics.
• Create new reports and retrofit existing reports as part of the rollout strategy of BI-related products to the new state.
• Follow and promote the adoption of the governance framework for VGW’s Data Catalog to ensure policies, standards and definitions are followed with peer Analysts across the organisation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that the data analysis and reporting processes align with business objectives.
• Build and maintain data models to organise and structure data, enabling accurate reporting and analysis. 
• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and reliable analytical products, dashboards, and metrics that drive VGW crucial business decisions.

What you will bring to the role:

• A Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Engineering, Data Science or Artificial Intelligence.
• 2+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence or data insights.
• Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to create and review queries.
• Experience working with BI analysts, data analysts, and/or cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solving skills to identify pain points and recurring concerns. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
