Job Description

This role involves leading product and service marketing for innovations in medical devices, primarily related to intravascular treatment, such as angiography systems and surgical C-arms. The specialist will collaborate with global teams to develop localized strategies and plans, manage budgets, resources, risk assessments, and quality standards, and drive projects and teams to successfully launch services in a timely manner.
Must have:

  • Native level Japanese and conversational English proficiency

Job Description

Business Marketing Specialist (Image Guided Therapy Systems)

Job Summary

Promote the marketing of innovative products and services, primarily for medical devices related to intravascular treatment, such as angiography systems and surgical C-arms. Collaborate with global teams to formulate localized strategies and plans for service deployment. Manage budgets, resources, risk assessments, and quality standards, leading projects and teams to successfully and timely launch services.

Main Responsibilities

Marketing Planning and Execution

  • Develop marketing plans for the assigned product group based on customer insights and global strategies.
  • Align with global business plans and drive the execution of marketing plans.
  • Support the Business & Marketing Manager in the business process for products, services, and solutions.
  • Share market and customer insights/trends with the Business Unit.
  • Manage the performance of assigned products, solutions, and services.
  • Plan and execute new product launches.
  • Form and lead cross-functional teams necessary for product launches, planning and execution.
  • Promote local product launches in line with global strategies and overall market business and marketing strategies.

Marketing and Sales Support

  • Collect, evaluate, and utilize order/loss analysis.
  • Localize materials and content for the sales team, working closely with marketing operations to provide them.
  • Provide market insights, competitor information, tools, and knowledge to the sales team to maximize business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Modality Sales Specialists and Clinical Support Specialists to act as a point of contact and key resource for promotional activities.
  • Support marketing managers and event teams to promote customer events aimed at lead generation and prospecting.

Required Skills and Experience

Must Have

  • 3+ years of product marketing experience.
  • Practical experience in the medical device industry (regardless of product in charge).
  • Native level Japanese and conversational English proficiency.

Application Requirements

  • Contract Period: Indefinite
  • Probationary Period: Yes (generally 6 months from the date of joining)
  • Job Description (Initial Employment): As above (Scope of change: duties determined by the company)
  • Work Location (Initial Employment): Azabudai Head Office (Scope of change: work locations determined by the company)
  • Working Hours: 9:00-17:30, Break time: Generally 12:00-13:00
  • Work Style: Discretionary work system outside the workplace
  • Holidays: Every Saturday (scheduled holiday), Sunday (legal holiday), national holidays, New Year holidays (December 29 - January 4)
  • Leave: Initial year paid leave up to 20 days (20 days for 2nd-5th year / 25 days for 6th year onwards), Care Leave (10 days per year), Sick Leave (up to 30 days per year), etc.
  • Overtime Work: Yes, discretionary work system (outside workplace system)
  • Deemed to have worked 9 hours per day, and a deemed work allowance will be paid.
  • Holiday work allowance will be paid for work on holidays.
  • Late-night work allowance will be paid for late-night work.
  • Salary: Basic annual salary 6-8 million JPY (considered based on experience)
  • Bonus: Incentive 30%
  • Incentives are paid every March (variable based on company performance, departmental performance, and individual evaluation).
  • For those joining mid-year, a pro-rata calculation applies for the target period.
  • Allowances: No commuting allowance (actual transportation expenses reimbursed)
  • Insurance: Social insurance (Employees' Pension Insurance, Health Insurance), Labor insurance (Employment Insurance, Workers' Accident Compensation Insurance)
  • Retirement System: Two-tiered system of lump-sum retirement payment and defined contribution pension.
  • Training System: Various online training, post-onboarding support training available.
