Job Description:
Business Relationship Manager is the liaison between the agency and its clients to help achieve the business objectives. She/He oversees the agency-client relationship, determining clients’ needs—what they’re looking to achieve short-term and long-term—and ensuring the company delivers.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Initiate and develop relationships with clients for business growth.
  • Stay abreast of recent industry trends.
  • Develop and maintain detailed business plans for client projects.
  • Work with management in developing timely solutions for client requirements.
  • Conduct business reviews with clients on periodic basis.
  • Contact and follow-up on qualified clients for new opportunities.
  • Address customer issues/concerns in accurate and timely manner.
  • Work closely with clients to understand the business needs and to explore opportunities for growth.
  • Provide business advice and consultancy to clients in effective manner.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of company’s products, pricing, policies etc, so as to educate clients on benefits.
  • Identify present and future business development opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing customers for business retention.
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of client information.
  • Plan the work of the team to ensure that all the meetings take place as per scheduled.
  • Ensure the team follows the processes and maintains quality standards.
  • If there are any changes to the nature of the business, this job description serves as a framework to outline the main areas of responsibility. It is not intended to be either prescriptive or will inevitably change.
  • May be required to carry out similar nature of business area that fall within the work remit as directed by the top management, and this may entail working from other locations.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as Client Relationship Manager / Business Relationship Manager.
  • Understand the business and industry.
  • Knowledge of market research, sales and negotiating principles .
  • Outstanding knowledge of MS office; knowledge of CRM software (e.g Salesforce) is a plus.
  • A business acumen and people oriented.
  • Possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills and work closely with sales and marketing team.
  • Strong leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Must be fluent to communicate in Japanese writing and speaking, preferably native speaker (If a candidate is Local with Japanese speaking, must possess minimum JLPT 2 and above or a proof to show that the person is capable at the language fluency).
  • Must be business level to communicate in English writing and speaking (If a candidate is Japanese, must possess minimum TOEIC 990 or TOEFL 110 and above or a proof to show that the person is capable at the language fluency. Ex: American Born Japanese).
