Job Description

Valeo is seeking a Calibration/Metrology Engineer in San Luis Potosi. This role involves applying safety standards, adhering to quality systems like V5000, IATF16949, ISO 14001, and OHSAS18001, and developing plant-wide calibration systems. Key responsibilities include performing measurements, calibrating equipment, maintaining records, preparing reports, and advising personnel on measurement and testing.
Must Have:
  • Responsible for the application of safety standards and for adhering to V5000, IATF16949, ISO 14001 and OHSAS18001 standards using QRQC methodology.
  • Comply with Valeo 5000, ISO/IATF 16949 procedures and customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain plant wide calibration systems according to applicable standard (QS 9000, American Association of Laboratory Accreditation standards…).
  • Perform measurement and analysis of raw material tests.
  • Calibrate the control and measurement and test equipment of the plant, based on the type of calibration and applicable studies according to the calibration program.
  • Control and keep updated the records of the plant's measurement, calibration and testing equipment.
  • Prepare reports of test results, dimensional evaluations and calibrations carried out.
  • Carry out safety tests and inspections and/or mandatory regulations, as well as report them to all relevant functions.
  • Advise personnel involved in measurement, calibration and testing of the plant.
  • Participate in measurement workshops, interpretation of plans for training of plant personnel.
  • Participate in the solution of non-conformities found inside and outside VSE related to the finished product manufactured on site.
  • Control external calibration, measurement and/or testing services with traceability to National standards as the first option and/or International standards as a second option.
  • Stopping any of our own activities if safety and quality procedures are not respected.
  • Comply with the validation of components and assemblies produced in the plant to provide dimensional information that leads to continuous improvement of the product.
