Job Description

The Central Secondary Lead Prep Process Engineer ensures the manufacturing and design of equipment meet or exceed defined quality, safety, and performance standards. Responsibilities include managing equipment updates, communicating engineering changes, maintaining equipment drawing libraries, and participating in urgent program meetings. The role also involves supporting manufacturing plants, central areas, and validation labs to address process issues, implementing process improvements, and providing support to overcome obstacles, all while meeting departmental objectives and metrics.
Must have:
  • Completed Mechanical/Electromechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering degree
  • High-level computer skills
  • Proficiency in CAD programs (AutoCAD, Solid Edge)
  • Advanced PLC programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Keyence, Proface)
  • Advanced programming in desktop/automation applications (Visual Studio, LabVIEW, C#, JavaScript)
  • Knowledge of tightening techniques (torque stations)
  • Interpretation of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical drawings
  • Knowledge of SPC and its tools
  • Six Sigma certification
  • Knowledge in the use of measuring instruments
  • Problem analysis and solution
  • Teamwork ability
  • Analytical and proactive
  • Decision-making skills
  • English 60% or higher
  • Knowledge and interpretation of client specifications and acceptance/rejection criteria standards
  • Ensure equipment manufacturing and design meet quality, safety, and performance standards
  • Maintain control of assigned equipment updates
  • Communicate engineering changes and improvements
  • Update and modify PFMEA system in GSD
  • Maintain equipment drawing library
  • Participate in weekly urgent program meetings
  • Meet departmental objectives and metrics
  • Support manufacturing process areas and validation labs
  • Implement process improvements and best practices

Required Competencies/Skills

  • Completed career in Mechanical/Electromechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering.
  • High-level computer skills.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design programs (AutoCAD, Solid Edge, etc.).
  • Advanced programming in PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Keyence, Proface, etc.).
  • Advanced programming in desktop and automation applications (Visual Studio, LabVIEW, C#, WPT, XML, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Knowledge of tightening techniques (torque stations).
  • Interpretation of mechanical drawings and assembly of mechanical parts.
  • Interpretation of pneumatic and hydraulic drawings.
  • Interpretation of electrical drawings.
  • Knowledge of SPC and its tools.
  • Six Sigma certification.
  • Knowledge in the use of measuring instruments.
  • Problem analysis and solution.
  • Knowledge of group concept.
  • Teamwork ability.
  • 100% analytical and proactive.
  • Decision-making skills.
  • Sensitive to urgent situations.
  • English 60% or higher.
  • Knowledge and interpretation of client specifications and acceptance/rejection criteria standards.

General Functions

  • Ensure that the manufacturing and design of your equipment meet or exceed previously defined Quality, safety, and performance standards.
  • Maintain control of updates for assigned equipment.
  • Communicate Engineering changes and improvements made to your equipment/tools to the Engineering groups.
  • Input and modification of the PFMEA system in GSD.
  • Maintain the equipment drawing library.
  • Participate in weekly urgent program meetings where the progress and follow-up of each component and each step of our process are reviewed.
  • Fulfillment of departmental objectives and metrics.
  • Support the process area of manufacturing plants, central areas, and validation laboratory to review problems detected in the assigned processes.
  • Process improvement and implementation of best practices to optimize processes.
  • Attend meetings and provide support to personnel to overcome obstacles.
