Job Description

The Channel Experience Manager is responsible for channel marketing expertise and activities within a defined territory. This role involves collaborating with Commercial Managers to develop and implement client strategies, negotiating and validating plans that maximize ROI on Trade Marketing activations. Responsibilities include liaising with Commercial Managers to understand needs, validating and implementing plans (POS, co-op marketing, owned media, etc.), working directly with clients to ensure flawless execution, managing supplier relationships, managing budgets, improving consumer journey, and reporting to stakeholders. The role requires strong communication, project management, and budget management skills, along with expertise in channel marketing and the consumer journey (omnichannel). This individual will also supervise interns or apprentices.

Role overview:

Responsible for expertise and Channel Marketing activity in the territory. Collaborate with Commercial Managers to define appropriate strategies for each client, negotiate and validate these strategies by managing the planning, implementation, and maximization of the value of Trade Marketing activations for clients, their paid media, and our Marketing assets while respecting the notion of return on investment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Liaise with Commercial Managers to understand challenges, objectives, and Trade Marketing & Experiential needs
  • Validate and implement plans with Commercial Managers (POS, Co-op, owned media, field merchandising, social media, online advertising, etc.) to deliver client objectives and revenue growth, including D@R (all based on expertise, best practices, and ROI analysis)
  • Collaborate with product managers and CMs to prepare and share presentations on products & strategies with clients
  • Work directly with clients to ensure the perfect execution of these strategies
  • Manage relationships with suppliers to deliver Trade Marketing activations (creatives, POS, production agencies, merchandising, etc.)
  • Manage various projects concerning the implementation of activations (IDUs & content, screens, product demonstrations, furniture, etc.)
  • Make recommendations to Commercial Managers on how to improve the consumer journey (omnichannel - in-store and online) to increase product visibility and awareness
  • Manage budgets concerning Trade Marketing Business Operations costs and Co-op investments (incentives, IDUs, Retailer media & space, experiential, Retailer events, seller contests, training, etc.)
  • Implement plans negotiated with third-party publishers and other partners (Sony Sisters, B2B, etc.) related to Trade Marketing activations
  • Be the market reference, provide regular feedback, share best practices, and report on local Trade Marketing plans to relevant stakeholders
  • Communicate regularly with client Marketing Teams (and our local Marketing Team) to share Marketing plans
  • Coordinate Channel Marketing & Experiential activity and collaborate with all Teams (CM, Finance, Ops, BA, Commercial Planning, MAM, Media Manager, Campaign Manager, etc.) to optimize the deployment of plans and actions
  • Implement necessary actions for the optimal execution of our launches and promotional campaigns (POS, merchandising commandos, etc.)
  • Supervise interns and/or apprentices
