We are looking for a Chief Legal Officer.
Your main tasks will be:
Main focus and area of responsibilities:
- Legal Strategy: Identify legal risks associated with the company's business activities and establish risk mitigation strategies. Assess and manage legal risks related to contracts, intellectual property, employment, litigation, and other areas of potential legal exposure.
- Legal Compliance: Ensure the international holding company complies with relevant laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements in all jurisdictions where it operates. This includes monitoring changes in legislation and ensuring internal policies are updated accordingly.
- Intellectual Property Protection: Develop and implement strategies to protect the company's intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. Monitor and address any potential infringements of intellectual property rights.
- Legal Risk Management: Develop and execute a legal strategy for the international holding company, aligned with its long-term goals and objectives. This includes open new unteties with mitigating legal risks.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, coordinate external audits, and collaborate with legal and internal compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory frameworks.
Additional control and coordination:
- Financial Strategy: Develop and execute a financial strategy for the international holding company, aligned with its long-term goals and objectives. This includes analyzing market trends, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion, and evaluating potential risks.
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Oversee the financial planning and budgeting process, working closely with subsidiary companies to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial projections. Conduct ongoing analysis of financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and making strategic recommendations to optimize financial results.
- Financial Risk Management: Implement robust risk management practices across the international holding company, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices. Identify and mitigate financial risks, including currency fluctuations, country-specific regulations, and geopolitical factors.
- Treasury Management: Oversee liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, and capital structure optimization to ensure efficient utilization of financial resources. Develop and implement strategies for managing foreign exchange exposure and hedging currency risks across various international markets.
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of finance and legal professionals, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development. Provide guidance and support to finance and legal teams within the international holding company structure.
We expect from you:
- 5+ years of experience in a CLO/VP Legal position in international companies
- English - C2+ (preferably bilingual with optional knowledge of Russian)
- Legal Management: In-depth understanding of various areas of law, such as business law, contract law, employment law, intellectual property law, and other relevant legal areas.
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of industry regulations and laws affecting the organization's operations to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Litigation Management: Ability to manage legal disputes, litigation processes, and work closely with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Risk Management: Skills in identifying legal risks, developing strategies to manage these risks, and implementing preventive measures.
- Technology Aptitude: Familiarity with financial software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, data analytics tools.

Health benefits. According to the paychecks, if you are not eligible for corporate medical insurance, the company will compensate you with up to $ 1,000 gross per year per employee. Workplace organization. The company provides all employees with an equipped workplace and all the necessary equipment (table, armchair, wifi, etc.) in our offices or co-working locations. In the other locations, the company provides reimbursement of workplace costs up to $ 1000 gross once every 3 years, according to the paychecks. This money can be spent on the rent of the co-working room, on equipping the working place at home (desk, chair, Internet, etc.) during those 3 years;
