Job Description

Zeeco is a global leader in combustion and environmental solutions, designing, engineering, and manufacturing advanced burners, incinerators, and environmental control systems for industries like oil and gas, petrochemicals, and power generation. The Combustion Consultant/Specialist will develop end-user customer relationships in the Benelux region, providing technical support to new and existing clients. This role focuses on generating opportunities for equipment supply and site services, including on-site turnaround support, equipment optimization, troubleshooting, and inspection surveys, ensuring enhanced operational efficiency and environmental compliance.
Must have:
  • Contact and visit existing as well as new clients to promote Zeeco products and services.
  • Ensure Zeeco is established in customer's system and included on their AML (Approved Manufactures List) for all of Zeeco’s products.
  • Discover business opportunities and work to generate inquiries.
  • Identify decision makers plus influencers and build trust / long term relationships with them.
  • Be available to make site visits to trouble shoot equipment and provide technical assistance.
  • Visit customer's plants to conduct site surveys.
  • Obtain market intelligence, provide feedback on open quotes, assist with customer clarifications, and win orders.
  • Liaising with other Zeeco sales personnel, applications engineers, project engineers, purchasing, logistics, manufacturing teams etcetera, and assist when required.
  • Assist with commissioning, start-up, and troubleshooting of combustion equipment at customer facilities.
  • Increase the productivity of Zeeco’s representatives / agents where present or seek out potential partners that could enhance our site presence.
  • Be prepared to support activity in other territories as and when needed.
  • Give technical and training presentations to customers.
  • Provide constructive feedback to Zeeco’s product groups for continuous improvement.
  • Identify end-user facility maintenance turnaround dates and offer Zeeco products and services to support the turnarounds.

About the position:

  • As our newly appointed Combustion Consultant/Specialist you will be responsible for developing end user customer relationships in the Benelux region from initial customer contact with the focus on providing technical support to new and existing end user customers. Once such relationships have been established it is expected these will lead to opportunities for the supply of equipment and additional site services like potential on-site turnaround support activities, optimisation of fired equipment, troubleshooting, inspection surveys.

Skills and experience required:

  • A good technical or engineering qualification.
  • Solid oil and gas experience.
  • Demonstrated and proven experience of combustion equipment.
  • Mechanical or process engineering background, ideally with some practical commissioning or site experience.
  • Confident in ability to build relationships.
  • Flexible, hard-working, team player.
  • Be a proactive self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve thinking laterally.
  • Willing to and go the extra mile.
  • Willing to travel Internationally with occasional extended trips if required.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels with good telephone skills and good writing skills.
  • Good presentation skills. The role could involve presenting to large audiences.
