Job Description

SailPoint is seeking an energetic and dedicated professional Consultant to join their team. This role involves initial product training, followed by project work establishing connectivity to customer environments. Within a month or two, they begin working on projects to establish connectivity to customer environments, continuing to learn about SailPoint project delivery. Within six months, consultants will implement solutions on small to medium projects, eventually operating independently to guide customers on best practices and troubleshoot. The ideal candidate has a consultative mindset, strives to understand how things work, and collaborates effectively within a team while also being capable of independent task completion.
Must have:
  • Work with customers on the installation, integration, and deployment of SailPoint software and/or SaaS solutions.
  • Communicate to clients and partners aspects of both the solution and the implementation at the technical and functional level.
  • Configure SailPoint solutions as defined by Solution Architect and begin to contribute to solution definition.
  • Deliver technical training designed to enable and educate SailPoint customers and implementation partners.
  • Build rules for customers and evaluate rules built by customers.
Good to have:
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies: AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Familiarity with any of the following web technologies: SPML/SOAP, Web and Application Servers, RESTFull APIs
  • Experience working with a project team that has deadlines and regular internal team and customer meetings
  • Experience with quality assurance duties (usability testing, performance testing, automated testing, test scripts, test cases and test plans)
  • Security software or IT audit experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Computer Science or Engineering degree a plus)
  • J2EE certification is a plus
  • SailPoint Certified Engineer is a plus and is expected within 12 months of hire

What You’ll Do:

Consultants at SailPoint begin their career with product training, where they leverage their experience to gain a deep understanding of our SaaS and/or Software solutions. Within a month or two, they begin working on projects to establish connectivity to customer environments, continuing to learn about SailPoint project delivery. Within six months, Consultants will be implementing solutions on small to medium sized projects with the guidance of a Solution Architect, but will start to operate independently to provide guidance to their customers on best practices. At the end of the first year, Consultants will be working on projects ranging from small to large with varying complexity. They will continue to work under the guidance of a Solution Architect, but will largely operate independently, providing best practices to customers through working sessions and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with customers on the installation, integration, and deployment of SailPoint software and/or SaaS solutions.
  • Communicate to clients and partners aspects of both the solution and the implementation at the technical and functional level.
  • Configure SailPoint solutions as defined by Solution Architect and begin to contribute to solution definition.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of professional work experience as part of a technology company with at least 2 year of customer facing experience
  • Experience setting up and installing software on both Windows and Linux platforms
  • Database Knowledge in one or more of the following: Oracle, Sybase, MSSQL, MySQL
  • Experience with enterprise directories such as Microsoft Active Directory and LDAP
  • Familiarity with networking principles: SSL/TLS/HTTPS, Certificate Management, Basic TCP/IP troubleshooting
  • Experience reading and writing any of the following programming languages: Java, BeanShell/JavaScript/TypeScript, JSP/Servlets, Linux/Unix, SQL, PowerShell, Python, Ruby, C#, C++.

Preferred:
