Job Description

As a contract professional supporting the legal department within the Data & Analytics division of LSEG, you will be responsible for drafting, negotiating, and coordinating/administering sales and sales-related agreements. This includes large master agreements with customers, terms and conditions, non-disclosure agreements, and software licenses. You will report to the legal department and respond directly to customer’s comments and negotiate with customers, including the customer’s legal department. Responsibilities include facilitating review and proper approval for legal terms, as well as working with sales, finance, commercial strategy, and product on contract terms which affect the deal. These responsibilities will require extensive interaction and coordination with the external customer, and the sales, finance, product, and legal departments of LSEG.

Job Details

As a contract professional supporting the legal department within the Data & Analytics division of LSEG, you will primarily be responsible for drafting, negotiating and coordinating/administering sales and sales-related agreements, including large master agreements with customers, terms and conditions, non-disclosure agreements and software licenses. You will report to the legal department and respond directly to customer’s comments and negotiate with customers, including the customer’s legal department.

Responsibilities include facilitating review and proper approval for legal terms, as well as working with sales, finance, commercial strategy, and product on contract terms which affect the deal. These responsibilities will require extensive interaction and coordination with the external customer, and the sales, finance, product, and legal departments of LSEG.

Qualifications

Strong experience in interpreting and drafting contracts, negotiating sales agreements, support agreements, license agreements and Master Agreements.

Excellent negotiation skills. Excellent written/verbal communication skills. Ability to positively influence behavior of multiple collaborators, as well as to be able to successfully balance the interests of the customer with maintaining a good fiscal and risk position for the company.

Ability to think strategically and creatively, to identify and resolve legal issues, possess knowledge of LSEG products, services and organizational structure.

Works well as a team member and builds rapport and trust with both internal and external clients.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Must possess a high level of integrity and professionalism.

Possess highly developed organizational skills and be articulate, diligent and hard-working.

Experience:

A minimum of 4 years' experience as a paralegal, contract manager or negotiating contracts.

Experience with technology or licensing agreements a plus.

Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) is required, and experience with computer database programs is an asset.

Training or education in business and/or corporate law, negotiation, legal writing, redlining, a definite plus.

Experience working with financial and technology firms a definite plus.

Experience working in Salesforce or other customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

Experience working on projects involving multiple collaborators and/or subject matter experts a plus.

Please be aware base salary ranges may vary by geographic location, city and state. In addition to our offered base salary, this role is eligible for our Variable Incentive Compensation plan. Target variable compensation will be commensurate with the posted career stage. Individual salary will be reflective of job related knowledge, skills and equivalent experience. LSEG roles (excluding internships and part-time roles of less than 20 hours per week) are typically eligible for inclusion in our LSEG Benefits program, which includes offerings of: Annual Wellness Allowance, Paid time-off, Medical, Dental, Vision, Flex Spending & Health Savings Options, Prescription Drug plan, 401(K) Savings Plan and Company match.
