How we LEAD:
This is an incredibly exciting time to join the Commercial Services Finance team at the Universal Music Group. This dynamic team drives the Finance and Planning functions across UMG’s Commercial Services division; including our third party distributed labels, UMG for Brands, eCommerce, Marketing and °1824 business units. This team is charged with strategic partner relations, including business reviews, historical trend analysis and forward-looking planning.
Reporting to the Executive Finance Director, Commercial Services, the Coordinator will be immersed in day-to-day functions for Commercial Services. This position is a “hands-on” role, working in unison with the Executive Finance Director, other members of the Commercial Services Finance team as well as various other departments within UMG.
How you’ll CREATE:
- Support the Senior Financial Analyst with the collection and consolidation of global marketing and cost data from local worldwide UMG OpCos for various distributed labels while reviewing for accuracy and completeness, including, but not limited to, ensuring the appropriate strategic partner repertoire is included.
- Complete incoming and outgoing invoice processes, including, but not limited to, coding and processing of invoices, preparing a breakdown of expenses, clearing of charges, project budget updates, raising invoices for external parties, etc.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager on executing Famehouse billing processes, including, but not limited to, management of POs, invoice creations, review of credit card statements, preparing a breakdown of expenses, etc.
- Facilitate international rebilling processes for various Commercial Services groups including global Marketing teams and distributed labels, including, but not limited to, collection and consolidation of sales, costs, and marketing data, data validation, and dashboard updates.
- Handle vendor set-ups and maintenance in Uniport on an ad-hoc basis for various Commercial Services teams.
- Partner with the Global Marketing teams to track, record and analyze UMG media.
Bring your VIBE:
- Bachelor’s degree in economics or finance with strong accounting acumen; a CPA would be a plus.
- Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills, plus excellent attention to detail, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Proficient in MS office and data entry.
- Must have the legal right to work in the U.S
