Job Description

As a Corporate Site Reliability Engineer at lastminute.com, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of critical internal platforms and services across various environments. Joining the Platform, Security & ITSM area, your role will focus on corporate infrastructure and services. You will administer virtual and cloud environments, maintain essential corporate services like SSO and databases, and support critical applications. This role involves partnering with application owners and cross-functional teams to deliver robust support and innovative solutions, ensuring overall platform reliability.
Must have:
  • Administer the virtual environment located on-premises
  • Manage part of our cloud infrastructure running on AWS, ensuring the balance between performances and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain essential corporate services including SSO, DNS, databases, backup solutions, monitoring, and email system.
  • Support infrastructure and virtual machines hosting critical corporate applications such as ERP, HR, and Business Intelligence systems
  • Partner with application owners and cross-functional technology teams to deliver robust support and innovative solutions
  • Work closely with other SRE teams, DSE, and Security teams to ensure overall platform reliability

Job Details

We are looking for a Corporate Site Reliability Engineer to join our team of around 1,700 people worldwide.

The job in brief:

Working model - full remote from Portugal

Team - you will join the Corporate SRE team within the IT department.

Level - Professional

Contract - Permanent

What your impact will be:

As a Corporate Site Reliability Engineer, you will ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of our critical internal platform and services across multiple environments. You'll join Platform, Security & ITSM area with a specialised focus on corporate infrastructure and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer the virtual environment located on-premises
  • Manage part of our cloud infrastructure running on AWS, ensuring the balance between performances and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain essential corporate services including SSO, DNS, databases, backup solutions, monitoring, and email system.
  • Support infrastructure and virtual machines hosting critical corporate applications such as ERP, HR, and Business Intelligence systems
  • Partner with application owners and cross-functional technology teams to deliver robust support and innovative solutions
  • Work closely with other SRE teams, DSE, and Security teams to ensure overall platform reliability

Qualifications

Your expertise

  • + 3 years experience as SRE / System Administrator
  • Extensive knowledge creating, managing and supporting Windows and Linux servers
  • Extensive knowledge creating, managing and supporting virtual environments (VMware)
  • Extensive knowledge of Active Directory, GPO, security policies, SSO (ADFS), DNS, DFS
  • Strong experience on infrastructure as a code (Terraform, Ansible, Gitlab, CI/CD pipelines)
  • Strong experience on maintaining systems updated and fixing security bugs
  • Strong experience on monitoring, logging and troubleshooting (Graylog, CheckMK)
  • Strong experience server hardware support and maintenance (HP DL, iLO)
  • Strong experience on alerts reported by XDR systems (SentinelOne)
  • Strong experience on Microsoft SQL server databases
  • Good knowledge of AWS cloud (EC2 instances, networking), Backup systems (Veeam), SAN and NAS (HP, Pure storage and QNAP), Windows and Linux scripting, load balancing (HAProxy), mailing systems (Postfix), Windows file servers
  • Base networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, switch, firewalling)
