Position Summary

We’re seeking a results-driven Email Marketing & Automation Manager with deep expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) to own the end-to-end strategy, execution, and optimization of email marketing programs to support the Individual Markets business.

Seeking an experienced Email Marketing & Automation Manager experienced in leading development and execution of email marketing programs, primarily using Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). You’ll be instrumental in designing customer journeys, automating lifecycle campaigns, and leveraging data to optimize performance across the funnel.

This person will play a key role in data migration, customer segmentation, and reporting, ensuring we leverage customer insights to optimize engagement, prospect and retention strategies.

The ideal candidate has expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics, and CRM platforms and is comfortable with email marketing execution, platform integrations, and performance reporting.

You have

  • 4–6 years of experience in email marketing automation with a focus on Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce Marketing Cloud modules: Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, Contact Builder, Personalization (formerly Interaction Studio) and AMPscript.
  • Experience with dynamic content, personalization, and triggered campaigns
  • Experience in B2B and B2C marketing in financial services and/or insurance is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot integrations and data issues.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with data tracking tools like Google Tag Manager, UTM parameters, and analytics dashboards is a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with email/SMS regulations (GDPR, CCPA, TCPA, CASL), deliverability, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and a highly collaborative approach to working with diverse teams.
  • CRM and Lead Scoring experience a plus
  • Knowledge of API integration and data flow across marketing platforms is a bonus

You will

  • Act as a key collaborator for select Individual Markets (IM) colleagues, providing best in class digital solutions
  • Own and evolve the email marketing strategy to drive customer engagement, retention, and conversion
  • Own and manage the end-to-end execution of email campaigns, including audience segmentation, dynamic content, A/B testing, and performance tracking.
  • Build and optimize multi-step customer journeys in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Journey Builder using data-driven triggers and automation.
  • Build web fly-ins and web personalization using Personalization (formerly Interaction Studio)
  • Build and optimize multi-step customer journeys using Journey Builder, Automation Studio and Personalization.
  • Develop dynamic and personalized email content using AMPscript and HTML/CSS.
  • Create and manage triggered and transactional email programs with complex logic.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure email campaigns align with customer segmentation and lifecycle strategies.
  • Partner with data and analytics teams to define KPIs, build dashboards, and analyze campaign performance to inform future strategies.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to integrations, deliverability, and data quality within SFMC and other martech systems.
  • Monitor and maintain data integrity, including preference management, compliance (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR), and segmentation accuracy.
  • Maintain high standards of deliverability, compliance, and email best practices.
  • Stay current with email marketing trends, technologies (AI), and SFMC updates.
  • Build and execute highly targeted, data-driven campaigns
  • Use advanced features of SFMC, including Journey Builder, Einstein, Personalization, Automation Studio, and AMPscript.

Reporting Relationships

As our Email Marketing Manager, you will report to our Email & Marketing Automation Lead, who reports to our Head of Owned Channels.

Location

  • The primary location for this position is Hudson Yards, NYC with a requirement for 3 days in the office each week.

Salary Range:

$80,940.00 - $132,975.00

The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
