Euromonitor International is seeking a Data Analyst to be responsible for data standardization, modeling, and forecasting of demographic, socio-economic, and macroeconomic data. This role requires strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to improving data modeling and forecasting techniques. Key responsibilities include analyzing and manipulating datasets using R, standardizing data for comparability, extrapolating and interpolating data for modeling and forecasting, monitoring data quality, documenting processes, and liaising with sales/marketing departments to handle client queries.
Must have:
  • Proficiency in R

What you will be doing

The team is currently looking for a Data Analyst to be jointly responsible for the data standardisation, modelling, and forecasting of various demographic, socio-economic, and macroeconomic data meeting client needs and deadlines.  

 

This role demands a high level of analytical skill, proactive problem-solving, and commitment to continuously improving data modelling and forecasting techniques, as well as exploring and implementing new methods to improve data comparability and quality. 

Key drivers -

  • Analyze and manipulate datasets, carrying out calculations and numerical analysis using R. 
  • Standardize raw statistical data to ensure cross-source comparability. 
  • Extrapolate and interpolate data using both quantitative and qualitative methods to develop modelling and forecasting techniques.  
  • Monitor, review, and enhance data quality. 
  • Document all work processes to ensure team alignment and best practices. 
  • Liaise with sales and marketing departments and handle client queries. 

What you’ll need-

  • Background in mathematics, econometrics, data science, statistics or similar fields. 
  • Proficiency in R. 
  • Basic knowledge of Python. 
  • Experience in data manipulation, statistical analysis and time series forecasting. 
  • Excellent communications skills and fluency in English (both oral & written). 
  • Strong organizational skills, creativity and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
