Job Description

The Data Analyst provides critical data-driven support for all DOC teams, leveraging analytical expertise to transform raw data into actionable information and insights that drive strategic business decisions. This role is essential for understanding current and future state requirements, developing frameworks for performance management, and measuring the impact of key initiatives. The Data Analyst will be responsible for compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and displaying data for various purposes while also playing a key role in cross-functional coordination and ad hoc reporting for various DOC functions.
Must have:
  • Extract, clean, validate, and integrate data from diverse sources, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with data governance policies.
  • Develop automated reporting workflows and dashboards that provide real-time, self-service access to key metrics for stakeholders.
  • Leverage advanced analytical techniques to uncover insights and support predictive decision-making.
  • Translate complex data findings into clear, concise visualizations and narratives tailored for business partners and executives.
  • Conduct root cause analyses on performance variances and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Build financial models and perform ROI analyses to evaluate strategic initiatives and business cases.
  • Lead collaborative requirement-gathering sessions with stakeholders, translating business needs into technical specifications.
  • Design and maintain performance measurement frameworks aligned with organizational goals and industry benchmarks.
  • Document business processes and analytics methodologies to support consistency and scalability.

  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to evaluate how changes impact operational efficiency, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely execution of analytics projects.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to DOC teams by proactively identifying data-driven opportunities for growth and operational improvements.
  • Facilitate training and knowledge sharing to elevate data literacy across the DOC and wider organization.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging analytics technologies, and best practices, driving innovation within the team.
  • Advocate for ethical data usage and compliance with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Primary purpose of the role:

Your role in our mission:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DOC Support, Bids and Proposals, DOC Capabilities, IT, Sales, and Finance, to ensure alignment and timely execution of analytics projects.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to DOC teams by proactively identifying data-driven opportunities for growth and operational improvements.
  • Facilitate training and knowledge sharing to elevate data literacy across the DOC and wider organization.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging analytics technologies, and best practices, driving innovation within the team.
  • Advocate for ethical data usage and compliance with relevant data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Key Skills, Requirements, and Competencies:

Language Proficiency: Mandatory fluency in English; preferred fluency in other international languages, with superior proficiency in both written and oral communication.

Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related discipline. 2-3 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a corporate or global operational environment.

Analytical & Critical Thinking: Expertise in interpreting complex data sets, spotting trends, and developing data-driven solutions.

Data Governance: Knowledge of data quality standards, security protocols, and regulatory compliance.

Automation & Efficiency: Experience with scripting (Python, R, or similar) or no-code apps to automate repetitive data tasks is highly desirable.

Communication & Storytelling: Ability to tailor communication of technical insights to non-technical audiences effectively.

Collaboration: Proven success working across diverse global teams and multiple time zones.

Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver projects on time.

Technical Skills:

  • Expert-level skills in SQL for complex data querying and manipulation.
  • Proficient with BI and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio, or equivalent.
  • Advanced skills in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and similar platforms for document and presentation creation. Skilled in spreadsheet modeling, advanced formulas, pivot tables, and Google Workspace tools. Experience in working and reporting on Salesforce.com.
