Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership
- Define and lead the execution of the data integration strategy, including governance of integration lifecycle, middleware tools and operating model, to support enterprise analytics, operational systems, and data products.
- Lead and grow a high-performing Data Integration team, including data engineers, integration specialists, integration developers, and technical leads.
- Align integration solutions with enterprise goals, business priorities, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the budget for the Data Integration function, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for tools, technologies, and personnel to achieve strategic objectives while adhering to financial guidelines.
Integration Architecture & Design
- Oversee the design of robust, scalable, and secure integrations, data ingestion and transformation pipelines, including APIs, ETL/ELT, and streaming architectures.
- Ensure effective integration of structured and unstructured data from internal and external sources (e.g., ERP, CRM, IoT, cloud platforms, third-party providers).
Operational Excellence
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of data integration services across production and non-production environments.
- Drive observability, monitoring, alerting, aligning with the ITIL mgmt processes to ensure operational continuity and quick resolution of issues.
- Manage data load performance tuning, scheduling, and SLA adherence for critical data pipelines.
Stakeholder Engagement & Partner management
- Partner with data product teams, analytics teams, application owners, and enterprise architects to understand data needs and develop fit-for-purpose integration solutions.
- Collaborate with Data Governance, Security, and Compliance teams to implement appropriate controls, policies, and audit mechanisms.
- Manage relationships with external partners and vendors to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Innovation & Tooling
- Align with Enterprise Architecture to evaluate and recommend modern integration tools and platforms Stay current on trends in cloud-native data integration architecture trends, to ensure the organization remains ahead of the curve.
Documentation & Standards
- Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation of integration flows, system interfaces, standards, and design patterns.
- Develop onboarding and operational playbooks for new integrations and tools.
Team Development & Culture
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence, documentation, continuous improvement, and cross-team collaboration.
- Support team members’ growth through coaching, feedback, and learning opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in data integration, data engineering, management, with 2+ years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proficient in realtime, batch and streaming data processing supported by platforms like OIC, Kong, Kafka, Fivetran, Boomi, Workato
- Deep knowledge of ETL/ELT frameworks, data integration tools, cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP), and data pipeline orchestration (e.g., Airflow, dbt).
- Solid insights on infrastructure architectural concepts (eg, SAAS,PAAS, IAAS, Networking, security...)
- Good understanding of data modeling, API design, metadata management, and distributed systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Data product principles, DevOps, or data platform product thinking.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and tools.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
- Fluent in English
