Razorfish is looking for an Analyst to join its Data Science and Analytics practice. This is an analytics, research, and consulting team that delivers data-driven insights to our clients. Each member of the team is aligned to one or more clients and works closely with other Data Science team members, our clients, and colleagues across other disciplines such as: Client Management, Strategy, Search, Social, Media, User Experience, and Technology. In this role you will contribute to data-driven projects across one or more client accounts. You will have support from data leadership and fellow analysts. Core areas of focus for this group include applications in measurement planning and strategy, customer segmentations, testing frameworks, measurement and optimization solutions, performance reporting and analyses, personalization, and forecasting.
Must have:
  • Learn data origin, extraction, interpretation, and use.
  • Understand Razorfish’s data capabilities and strategy fit.
  • Manage data team responsibilities in cross-capability projects.
  • Identify key issues and objectives with oversight.
  • Actively listen and contribute to internal discussions.
  • Prepare internal and client presentations.
  • Write clear, concise summaries of own work.
  • Participate actively in client meetings.
  • Prioritize work to meet client deliverables.
  • Identify when data team should complete a request.
  • Understand internal and client-specific data tools.
  • Assist in vendor and platform assessments.
  • Proactively identify and address learning gaps.
  • Translate data into visuals for client presentations.
  • QA and ensure data integrity.
  • Contribute to learning agenda/measurement plan.
  • Build basic structure of measurement program.
  • Proficient in standard CRM key performance metrics.
  • Extract, cleanse, and analyze data; identify trends.
  • Derive insights from manipulated data.
  • Synthesize implications from analysis.
  • Provide hypotheses and recommendations to advance KPIs.
  • Experience in a business environment.
  • Working knowledge of statistical concepts/coding languages.
  • Familiar with Excel functions (Pivot Tables, lookup formulas).
  • Familiar with SQL base case statements and RegEX.
  • Familiarity with BI/Visualization tools.

Overview

Razorfish is looking for an Analyst to join its Data Science and Analytics practice. This is an analytics, research, and consulting team that delivers data-driven insights to our clients. Each member of the team is aligned to one or more clients and works closely with other Data Science team members, our clients, and colleagues across other disciplines such as: Client Management, Strategy, Search, Social, Media, User Experience, and Technology.

In this role you will contribute to data-driven projects across one or more client accounts. You will have support from data leadership and fellow analysts.

Core areas of focus for this group include applications in measurement planning and strategy, customer segmentations, testing frameworks, measurement and optimization solutions, performance reporting and analyses, personalization, and forecasting.

Responsibilities

  • Learn all facets of the data from its origin and extraction to its interpretation and use
  • Understand Razorfish’s data capabilities and how data fits into a client's overall strategy
  • Understand the breadth of data services and crafts
  • Help to manage data team responsibilities within cross-capability projects

Data Strategy

  • Identify / focus on key issues and objectives based on internal and client needs with oversight

Communication Skills

  • Active listener and seeks to positively contribute to internal discussions
  • Prepare internal and client presentations with oversight
  • Write clear and concise summaries of own work

Client Engagement

  • Client Partnerships

Tools & Techniques

  • Understand internal and client-specific data tools and platforms for reporting and analysis
  • Assist in vendor and platform assessments
  • Proactively identify own learning gaps and seeks to answer them through internal resources or asking experts
  • Translate data into visuals (charts and graphs) that demonstrate the findings and can contribute to client presentations in PowerPoint
  • QA and ensure data integrity at collection, extraction, and activation point

Analytics

  • Planning and Implementation
  • Contribute to a learning agenda / measurement plan with guidance
  • Begin the process / build the basic structure of implementing a measurement program with guidance
  • Insight Generation
  • Proficient in standard CRM key performance metrics such as, Email click through rate, offer redemption rate, incremental sales, incremental margin and approach to measurement
  • Extract, cleanse, and analyze data, identify trends and anomalies
  • Show foundation to derive insights from extracted and manipulated data
  • Demonstrate foundational ability to synthesize implications ("so whats?") from analysis
  • Use these insights to provide hypotheses and useful recommendations to advance KPIs

Qualifications

  • Experience in a business environment, preferably with experience successfully working with or adjacent to digital media or an intensively client-focused model, such as an external consulting or marketing services firm
  • Has working knowledge of statistical concepts / coding languages (or deep knowledge of statistical concepts that have not yet been applied in a marketing context)
  • Familiar with basic functions of Excel, including Pivot Tables and lookup formulas
  • Familiar with base case statements for SQL and RegEX
  • Familiarity with BI/Visualization tools

Compensation Range: $51,000 - $62,300. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
