About the job:
Nasdaq is seeking a Deal Strategy Associate to analyze top pre-IPO companies and develop engagement strategies and documents for Nasdaq’s executive leaders and the Deal Strategy Team to leverage during the pitch process. This role will support prospect engagement across the Listings business and will also be responsible for on-site engagement with prospects via tours and bell viewings.
The Deal Strategy Associate reports to the Sr. Director of Research and Growth and will collaborate with the broader Listings business teams across growth, strategy, marketing, and creative. This role is critical in supporting our IPO Directors as a key partner to turn their engagement strategies into insights and commercial ideas that showcase Nasdaq’s core offerings.
The ideal candidate thrives in a multi-faceted role, demonstrates a passion for the capital markets, has an entrepreneurial spirit, strong written and verbal communication skills, and has an appreciation for client service, collaboration / teamwork, and event planning.
- Develop Account Strategy Documents – have a deep understanding of companies’ leadership teams and board members to build ASDs and talking points for the Deal Strategy Team and Listings Executives
- Conduct competitive research – track competitor’s engagements with prospects via social channels, industry events, and bell ceremonies
- Proactively track top deals to alert the IPO Directors of company or executive news
- Maintain Salesforce CRM in collaboration with IPO Directors
- Research – create region and industry-specific reports in Pitchbook, look up email addresses in ZoomInfo, research Board seats / connectivity in Equilar
- Client Experience – host Listed Companies and Prospects at MarketSite, and attend conferences, virtual webinars, and Marketing discovery calls.
- Lead and coordinate Deal Strategy Team briefings – create a detailed timeline for the pitch process and organize the team at key touchpoints to ensure necessary stakeholders are briefed on priority and anticipated deals
- Keep a detailed tracker of action items and next steps for priority deals in Excel, Monday.com, and Salesforce
Required skills and qualifications:
- 3+ years working in a corporate environment (preferably banking, consulting, or financial communications)
- Bachelor's degree
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong multi-tasking skills: able to prioritize as multiple projects arise
- Extremely organized, detail oriented, and discreet (will have access to privileged, non-public information)
- Comfortable interacting with senior leaders and C-suite executives on a frequent basis
- Expertise in Microsoft Office, Canva, and Photoshop required
- In-Office Expectations: 5 days per week on-site
Proficiency with the following would be a bonus:
- Salesforce, Monday.com, Pitchbook, and DealBook
- Managing SharePoint libraries
- Knowledge of the Financial and Capital Markets
- Demonstrated proficiency writing in a relevant corporate capacity
