Nasdaq is seeking an Index Product Development Senior Analyst in London to contribute to open and transparent markets. This role involves developing, modeling, and back-testing index ideas, collaborating with internal partners for timely launches, creating client pitch materials, and assisting the research team with content. The ideal candidate will have a quantitative degree, experience in financial markets or data science, and advanced technical skills in SQL, R, Python, Databricks, and Tableau. What You Will Do:

Your main responsibilities as an Index Product Development Senior Analyst will be;

  • Developing, modelling and back testing both internally and externally generated index ideas.
  • Collaborating with internal partners across sales and operations to ensure successful and timely index launches.
  • Creating and presenting client pitch material highlighting analysis of the investment strategy, as well as the competitive landscape, goodness of fit within the client’s product portfolio, and evidence of investor demand via quantitative and qualitative research.
  • Assist the research team in crafting research content to support the marketing and educational efforts for newly launched indexes and associated investment vehicles.

What You Will Bring:

  • A degree in a quantitative field with a few years of working experience in financial markets or data science.
  • A passion for financial markets and a strong desire to deliver successful client solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, internal teams, and external partners.
  • Advanced technical proficiency with knowledge of SQL, R, Python, and Databricks.
  • Experience utilizing Tableau or similar data visualization tools to create compelling content that enhances product pitching efforts.
  • Experience with the creation of ESG indexes and/or rules-based investment products (preferred).

The analyst will be developing and analysing index ideas and working with both internal and external partners to deliver timely index launches for our clients.
