Your New Role…
The DIRECTOR CONSOLIDATION AND REPORTING & ANALYSIS – PRODUCTS AND EXPERIENCES will be responsible for providing timely and accurate forecasting, reporting and analysis for Warner Bros. Discovery Studios, working with business finance counterparts to gather inputs and understand drivers. You will develop deep competencies in this area, providing business and finance stakeholders the required information for decision making.
This role will play an integral part in the Global Franchises, Products & Experiences Finance leadership team. Serving as a partner to the CFO, the VP Products & Experiences as well as the Executive Director Studio Operations, the position will also assume oversight over the CoE resources supporting the organization.
Among the responsibilities will be establishing a standard, global consolidated P&L reporting for the Products & Experiences function, revenue and expense forecasting, royalty reporting, franchise reporting, providing business analysis as well as continuous optimization of planning and reporting processes.
Your Role Accountabilities…
Serve as key business partner to Global Franchises, Products, & Experiences Finance leadership team, providing flawless reporting, data and insights.
Direct all FP&A processes end-to-end, providing guidance on timelines, growth targets, revenue and expense estimates, and executive reporting and presentations.
Identify and execute improvement potential in financial planning and reporting processes, including via the use of BI dashboarding, definition and tracking of operational KPIs etc
Build, manage and develop the CoE FP&A team supporting Franchises, Products and Experiences.
Ensure timely and accurate Royalty Reporting for the DC Comics business.
Support licensee audits
Establish standardized, and to the extent possible automated, Franchise P&L reporting
Build analytical capabilities within CoE beyond e.g. P&L analysis to provide ad-hoc business support, for example analyzing licensee base for inefficiencies, support deal analysis and benchmarking, analyze business performance across various parameter (e.g. Product category, region, licensees etc etc)
Build strong relationships with business partner FP&A teams to enable the flow of information and knowledge sharing.
Support development of systems, tools, and processes to facilitate efficient and accurate forecasting and analysis.
Drive process simplification initiatives. Collaborate across boundaries and share best practices with other FP&A teams.
Participate in meetings with business finance partners to understand forecast drivers and present prepared forecast and analysis data.
Qualifications & Experience…
At least 10 years’ experience in FP&A, Corporate Development, Strategic Planning, or Management Consulting.
Strong English verbal and written communication skills (must have).
Strong proficiency in excel and other data analysis techniques. Demonstrated experience in financial modelling.
Critical thinker and strong problem solver with excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to frame issues, articulate findings and present optimal solutions.
Proven ability to build confidence and trust with department members and external business partners.
Experience working accurately and efficiently with high volumes of data under strict deadlines.
Motivated by challenging, high-energy environment.
Strong working knowledge of financial software packages and Microsoft Office suite.
Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting required.
Preferred Qualifications…
Solid understanding of entertainment business preferred (Theatrical/Games/TV Distribution/Home Entertainment/Consumer Products and/or Global Themed Experiences Industry).
Strong Accounting knowledge preferred.
People management experience (at least 2 years).
Essbase, SAP, Tableau experience preferred.
