We do this via the SiMa.ai ONE Platform, a complete silicon to software tech stack which includes MLSoC and MLSoC Modalix.

As a key member of the SiMa.ai product management team, you will be responsible for the definition and delivery of next-generation silicon focused on AIML, GenAI, and multi-modal workloads at the edge. Your product roadmap will actualize our strategy and you will have an important role in the ongoing development of the strategy. You will work closely with customers and partners to develop positive relationships, learn their system requirements, and actively engage and drive the architecture, engineering, and product marketing teams to deliver.

Hardware Product Management:

A successful candidate is self-driven and passionate about bringing innovative solutions to the market. The Director of Hardware Product Management will be responsible for defining and delivering competitive, customer focused, value driven embedded edge AI/ML products. The SiMa.ai hardware product portfolio includes MLSoC Chip down, form factor boards, dev kits, and more. Core deliverables include gathering customer requirements for each target product segment, positioning and pricing the product in target markets, building the product definition (MRD, PRD), hardware product roadmap, competitive benchmarking, and lead product planning and development with the engineering team.

This role encompasses the below key areas of responsibility:

• Drive hardware product roadmaps and actualize our long -term strategy across the product lines.
• Develop Minimum Viable Product (MVP) with clear product definitions/requirements (deliver stakeholder friendly MRDs and PRDs) targeting vertical markets.
• Engage customers beginning with their business objectives, solution requirements, and constraints to derive winning silicon product requirements and roadmaps.
• Understand the role of the partners in the solution delivery and how partners win when SiMa.ai succeeds in target verticals.
• Work with engineering team to align product requirements to technical leadership, feasibility, and cost effectiveness.
• Competitive benchmarking and analysis
• Engage product marketing and technical support teams early to ensure successful launch.
• Work with program management to create product rollout schedules.

Experience and Expertise Requirements:

• Engineering bachelor’s degree with 15+ years’ overall experience in a combination of engineering, customer engineering and product management
• Recent 5+ years’ experience in product management of complex silicon products
• Product management experience for firmware and embedded software
• Experience delivering silicon into verticals such as industrial automation, machine vision, robotics, drones, smart transportation.
• Exceptional verbal/written communication skills
• Strong, proven presentation skills
• Proven track record in NPI process and delivering commercially successful Hardware products including SoC (most preferably delivering AI applications and embedded applications with semiconductor IP as a focus)
• Strong experience in Silicon development and system engineering involving high speed peripherals and various sensors.
• Understanding of heterogeneous architectures and tradeoffs between CPU, GPU and NPUs
• Domain knowledge in Edge AI use cases and experience developing AI/ML products.
• Business acumen with strong technical skills to navigate tradeoffs in features, cost, development risk and performance.
• Knowledge in software development includes AI applications.
• Experience working with cross-functional and multi-site teams.
• Ability to abstract complex technical information and present to executive audiences.
• Strong business, competitive, technical research experience and known for exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
