About the role
As an Engineer within the Haleon Digital Media team team you will be at the forefront of innovation. You would be executing engineering tasks and helping to facilitate Media team’s business requirements implementation. This role requires a solid technical background in Digital Media landscape to innovate and solve technical challenges. The ideal candidate will excel in back-end API development and management, with a strong emphasis on understanding data solutions and Python. You will play a crucial part in driving the technical excellence and success of our engineering team.
Key responsibilities
- Implement engineering tasks within the Media team, from conception to completion, focussing on delivering business value.
- Develop clear and well stuctured code to build and manage microservice-based RESTful APIs, promoting re-usable integrations and functionality.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for the Media landscape, developing cohesive and actionable plans to overcome technical challenges.
- Develop and enforce engineering best practices and standards, with a Test driven, DevOps first mindset, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and automation.
- Identify non-functional requirements, promoting good practices in areas such as accessibility, performance, and security, guiding team members in best practice.
- Liaise with product owners to transform visionary ideas to life via innovative technical solutions.
- Collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholder teams to ensure project alignment and quality.
Qualifications and skills
Essential
- Proven experience working as DevOps or Digital Media Engineer
- Experience with the Azure Cloud platform and its services for application deployment and scalability.
- Knowledge of Python or other scripting language
- Excellent track record in Digital Marketing delivery(Google Marketing Platforms, GA4/GTM, Meta Business Manager, social media, paid media)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a diverse team environment, technical and non-technical.
- Understanding of database systems and SQL technologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred
- Working knowledge of PowerApps
- Experience with PowerBi
- Knowledge of Synapse Analytics
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, specifically GitHub Actions.
- Working knowledge of Scrum based Agile development.
