Job Description

Within the Tactical Vehicles and Systems activity, the La Ferté Saint Aubin site specializes in the production of land and airborne weapon systems. The role involves leading a global project including engineering activities from design to validation/qualification, ensuring delivery process mastery. It acts as an interface between Business Segment stakeholders, technical development and industrialization teams, reporting to the Project Manager and Product Design Authority. Responsibilities include preparing work packages, supporting IVVQ during validation/qualification, defining development strategy, and ensuring technical, cost, deadline, and performance responsibility for offers.
Must have:
  • Lead a global project including engineering activities (from design to validation/qualification) and master the delivery process.
  • Ensure interface between Business Segment stakeholders, technical development and industrialization teams, and report functionally to the Project Manager and Product Design Authority.
  • Participate in the preparation of work packages including client needs analysis, estimation and description of packages and deliverables, resource availability planning, and associated risks/opportunities.
  • Provide support to the IVVQ manager during system validation and qualification phases, while ensuring knowledge management and sustainability of our products.
  • Define, formalize, and pilot project development strategy.
  • Ensure technical, cost, deadline, and performance responsibility for offers, guaranteeing compliance with client requirements.
  • Pilot the production of engineering deliverables and regularly synthesize technical progress, in conjunction with Work Package Managers.
  • Be responsible for applying the established development process for the project, managing technical facts, schedule and financial risks, and problem resolution throughout assigned work.
  • Guarantee delivery of a solution compliant with requirements, within defined deadlines and budget.
  • Lead the progress of a multidisciplinary team and be able to justify and defend the test and performance results of the solution.
  • Analyze, challenge, and share technical solutions in electronics, software, mechanics, and pyrotechnics.
  • Master's degree (BAC+5) in engineering, specialized in system engineering.
  • Experience in system lot piloting/management and development of weapon/aeronautical systems.
  • Field experience with qualification testing of systems or sub-systems.
  • Experience in transversal management in co-engineering with various stakeholders.
  • Experience in distributed architecture of security systems.

Your daily life

Within the Tactical Vehicles and Systems activity, the La Ferté Saint Aubin site specializes in the production of land and airborne weapon systems (mortars, ammunition, rockets, etc.), force protection systems, and zone control. With its 450 employees, engineers, technicians, and specialized workers, the La Ferté Saint Aubin site ensures research and development, production, testing, as well as all the "support" functions necessary for the design of high-performance systems essential to the success of operational missions. Thales, with the German defense group DIEHL, has formed a Joint-Venture "JUNGHANS T2M" which has 165 employees, allowing the two companies to combine their electronics and precision mechanics skills and thus become one of the world leaders in the field of ammunition fuses. This Joint-Venture is also present on the La Ferté Saint Aubin site.

  • Lead a global project including engineering activities (from design to validation / qualification) and master the delivery process;

  • As EDM (Engineering Delivery Manager), define, formalize, and pilot project development strategy;
  • Ensure technical, cost, deadline, and performance responsibility for offers, while guaranteeing their compliance with client requirements;
  • Pilot the production of engineering deliverables and regularly synthesize technical progress, in conjunction with Work Package Managers;
  • Be responsible for applying the development process established for the project, managing technical facts, schedule and financial risks, as well as problem resolution throughout assigned work.

  • Transversal management in co-engineering with various stakeholders,
  • Distributed architecture of security systems.
