As an ESD Engineer, the responsibilities encompass defining the ESD methodology for all silicon developed by Apple. This includes specifying chip and IP-level ESD requirements, designing ESD protection devices and circuits, and developing test structures to characterize silicon for ESD/LUP properties. The role also involves developing design rules based on silicon characterization data, collaborating with foundries on ESD library and rule development, maintaining an ESD device library, generating or reviewing ESD/LUP testing plans, and managing sign-off reviews with design teams and vendors. Furthermore, the engineer will drive ESD/LUP-related debug activities.
