Job Description

The selected candidate will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in the Austin Fab Etch equipment area. This technician position involves executing tasks to maintain toolsets like Applied Materials Centura MxP/MxP+/SuperE, DPS, DPS II, LAM 4420/4520i, ULVAC Enviro II, Optima, Gasonics 3500 & PEP 3510 Ashers, and Axcelis/Fusion Gemini DUV Photostabilizers. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repair of electrical, electronic, pneumatic, vacuum, and mechanical systems, scheduled maintenance, and consumable changes. The role requires understanding of SPC, 5s, FDC systems, and problem-solving skills, along with effective communication and physical ability for tasks.

Good To Have:

AA, AS, AAS, in electronics or other industrial engineering related discipline is preferred
Education along with experience or military training may satisfy formal education requirements

Must Have:

Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in the Austin Fab Etch equipment area
Effectively execute tasks to maintain toolsets including Applied Materials Centura MxP/MxP+/SuperE, DPS, DPS II, LAM 4420/4520i, ULVAC Enviro II, Optima, Gasonics 3500 & PEP 3510 Ashers, Axcelis/Fusion Gemini DUV Photostabilizers
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic systems
Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, vacuum, and mechanical systems
Perform scheduled maintenance and consumable changes
Solid understanding of SPC, 5s, FDC systems
Demonstrate problem solving skills
Ability to interface with other internal and external groups to ensure safety, performance, and reliability requirements are satisfied
Complete documentation and train others
Effectively communicate using written and verbal skills
Ability to stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours)
Physically able to perform required tasks which may include stooping, crawling in confined spaces, and lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds
Specific knowledge of semiconductor maintenance job functions is required
Ability to work compressed shifts (days or nights)

Semiconductor Maintenance Technician – Etch

The candidate(s) selected will be responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in the Austin Fab Etch equipment area.

The technician position is responsible for effectively executing tasks that are required to maintain primarily the toolsets within the following types:

Applied Materials Centura MxP/MxP+/SuperE

Applied Materials DPS, DPS II

LAM 4420/4520i

ULVAC Enviro II, Optima

Gasonics 3500 & PEP 3510 Ashers

Axcelis/Fusion Gemini DUV Photostabilizers

The tasks include, but are not limited to, troubleshooting and repair of electrical and electronic systems, pneumatic, vacuum, and mechanical systems, scheduled maintenance, consumable changes, and various other activities relevant to the success of the area. The desired candidate should have a solid understanding of SPC, 5s, FDC systems, and demonstrate problem solving skills. The position requires the ability to interface with other internal and external groups to ensure all safety, performance, and reliability requirements are satisfied. The desired candidate will be required to complete documentation and train others.

The desired candidate will be required to effectively communicate using written and verbal skills, stand for long periods of time (up to 12 hours), and be physically able to perform required tasks which may include stooping, crawling in confined spaces, and lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds.

The position requires working compressed shifts, job openings on either days or nights may be available.

Education:

AA, AS, AAS, in electronics or other industrial engineering related discipline is preferred. Education along with experience or military training may satisfy formal education requirements.

Experience:

Specific knowledge of semiconductor maintenance job functions is required.
