Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Client and Member Services team at Mercer Administration Services. This role will be based in the Wollongong office and is a hybrid role with some in-office attendance required. As a Family Law Administrator, you will be responsible for facilitating all processes related to Family Law matters in accordance with Service Level Agreements and Legislative requirements. You will also support other teams by investigating, resolving, and responding to complex inquiries and complaints concerning members’ entitlements for the Pooled Funds.
Must have:
  • Deliver professional and courteous customer service via email, phone, and written correspondence for Family Law matters.
  • Interpret scheme legislation and policies for legal implications, seeking compliance and legal advice when needed.
  • Manage Family Law processes within contractual and legislative timeframes, ensuring confidentiality.
  • Handle quotes, calculations, requests for information, review court orders and financial agreements for accuracy, draft responses to complex enquiries and complaints, and process payments.
  • Maintain accurate and secure spreadsheet registers for all schemes.
  • Review member statements involving Family Law splits to ensure accuracy before distribution.
  • Peer review and quality check casework and complex correspondence before release.
  • Collaborate with the team to complete tasks accurately and on time.
  • Foster a positive and cooperative work environment.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and performance development.
  • Mentor and support colleagues to enhance business knowledge and skills.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • RG146 qualified or aptitude and willingness to complete certification.
  • Experience within the superannuation industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of legislation relevant to the superannuation industry.
  • Outstanding communication, active listening and customer service skills with the willingness to go the extra mile.
  • Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness in the pursuit of a solution.
  • Computer literacy and capacity to use online information systems.
  • Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to hold a conversation and interact with our members.
  • The ability to produce well written correspondence.

As a Family Law Administrator, you will be responsible for the facilitation of all processes relating to Family Law matters in accordance with Service Level Agreements and Legislative requirements. Additionally, from time to time you will be required to support other teams which may include investigating, resolving and responding to complex inquiries and complaints concerning members’ entitlements for the Pooled Funds.

We will count on you to:

Family Law Processing:
