Job Description

The Field Sales Engineer at Trend Micro will enable enterprises with advanced cybersecurity solutions, focusing on earlier detection, faster response, and proactive cyber risk management. This role involves showcasing the value of XDR, CREM, Zero Trust, and AI to SecOps teams, incident responders, and CISOs. The engineer will build technical relationships, recommend tailored security solutions, and drive compelling demos and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to highlight security automation and integration capabilities. A strong passion for customer success and collaboration is essential for helping customers reduce their time to identify and contain threats.
Must have:
  • Listen to customer problems and demonstrate solutions.
  • Provide Proof of Concept services to pre-sales clients.
  • Maintain ongoing technical relationships with existing customers.
  • Develop subject matter expertise in assigned products and solutions.
  • Travel for customer-facing activities, marketing, and user group events.
  • Deliver partner presentations, events, and webinars.
  • Computer Science degree/diploma or equivalent pre-sales experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft/Linux software and systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution abilities.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and negotiation skills.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of various security solutions (Anti-malware, IDS/IPS, DLP, FIM, Email/Web Security, Syslog, SIEM).
  • Understanding of MITRE Attack Framework and SOC functions.
  • 2-5 years of Sales Engineering experience.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Cloud Formation, Terraform).
  • AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Certifications.
  • ECIH or CISSP certifications.
  • Linux/Solari training.

Position Summary:Are you passionate about enabling enterprises with earlier detection, faster response, proactive cyber risk exposure management, Agentic SIEM and more? Eager to showcase the value of XDR, CREM, Zero Trust, AI to SecOps teams, incident responders and CISO’s? We are too. The Sales Engineering team is looking for someone technical who can empathize with customer’s security concerns, build ongoing technical relationships, and recommend tailored security solutions that fits their needs.We want you to drive compelling demo’s and proof of concepts (PoC’s) showcasing our security automation capabilities, integration with third party services for optimization and helping the customer understand how to lower their time to identify and contain threats. A strong passion for customer success is critical to the role and collaboration within a radial web organization.Responsibilities:- Ability to listen to customer problems, work with the sales team, and demonstrate a solution- Provide Proof of Concept service to pre-sales clients and maintain an ongoing customer relationship- Ongoing technical touchpoints/health checks with existing customers- Work in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision- Share best practices with other SE’s to enhance quality of service and efficiency- Develop subject matter expertise in assigned products and solutions- Willing to travel for customer facing activities, as well as marketing and user group events Canada-Wide- Channel feature requests to Product Management to enhance products- Deliver partner presentations, events and webinarsQualifications:- Computer Science degree or diploma or combination of education and pre-sales experience in Security Software and Systems- Experience working with various Microsoft/Linux software and systems- Solid multi-tasking, troubleshooting and problem resolution abilities- Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn new concepts and technology using self-paced learning management platforms- Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, account management and negotiation skills, with the ability to interface with a diverse set of clients including administrators and C-level executivesRelevant Work Experience:- Knowledge of Anti-malware, Intrusion Detection and Prevention, Data Loss Prevention, File Integrity Monitoring, Email and Web Security, Syslog, SIEM solutions- Understanding of MITRE Attack Framework and/or security operations center (SOC) functions- Sales Engineering experience preferred (2-5 years)- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Cloud Formation, Terraform etc.One or more of below certifications or training is desired:- AWS / Microsoft Azure / Google Cloud Certifications- ECIH – Certified Incident Handler- CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional- Linux/SolariDEI Commitment:Not meeting every single requirement?
