Good To Have:

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

The Financial Controlling function is a part of the Global Finance Management organization. Together, we are responsible for accounting, financial controlling, consolidation, tax and transfer-pricing.

As a Financial Controller, you will manage the financial reporting and controlling activities for multiple European subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local accounting standards. This role offers the opportunity to gain international experience by participating in month-end closings, year-end reporting, and supporting audits across various European countries.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

You will be allocated a number of SimCorp European subsidiaries as your area of responsibility. The tasks and responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring financial reporting in accordance with Group principles and in compliance with IFRS, Group accounting requirements and local accounting principles, if applicable
  • Participating in financial month-end closing, preparation of year-end reporting to parent company and being responsible for key areas of accounting
  • Performing analytical reviews of reported results, following up on conclusions and managing controlling activities
  • Ensuring good internal controls in global financial processes and optimizations using analyses and systems
  • Performing controlling reviews of accounting journal entries
  • Reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Reviewing entries regarding setup of new contracts or new business assets
  • Control over local tax and VAT reporting
  • Supporting the Group audit including preparing documentation for the audit
  • Taking part in maintaining the group's accounting policies and guidelines as well as supporting the implementation of new IFRS standards
  • Communicating and collaborating with colleagues throughout SimCorp’s Global Finance Management organization
  • Participating in various finance projects and ad hoc tasks

WHAT WE VALUE

You have a solid financial background, a master's degree (finance, economics, or equivalent), and you have worked as an auditor in an international audit firm. It is beneficial if you have experience from a financial controller position in an international company reporting under IFRS. Moreover, we expect you to:

  • Be eager to work with monthly, quarterly and annual closings and financial reporting in an international company
  • Have a minimum 5 years of experience with financial controlling
  • Have solid IFRS knowledge and be familiar with annual reporting under IFRS
  • Thrive in a busy environment with focus on meeting deadlines
  • Be able to work with ERP a system and to be an experienced user of Excel
  • Experience with Workday, Adaptive Planning is beneficial, but not a requirement
  • Be fluent in English

Quarterly and yearly financial reporting are peak times for us, and some overtime should be expected. Work-life balance is important, and we offer flexibility in reconciling work and private life.
