At Haleon, this role leads the Digital and Technology (D&T) delivery for an enterprise-wide, multi-year business transformation, including the flagship Wired for Excellence (WfE) program. The Head HDS Delivery will act as a strategic liaison between D&T, business functions, and the Transformation Office, ensuring alignment and successful execution of complex programs. Responsibilities include shaping demand, overseeing delivery, managing risks, and preparing for SAP S4 Hana integration, requiring strong leadership, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
Must have:
  • Act as a strategic liaison between the Digital & Technology Leadership Team, business functions and the Transformation Office.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, HR, business units and programme leads to drive enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.
  • Play a central role in supporting our flagship transformation programme, Wired for Excellence (WfE).
  • Prepare for the integration of SAP S4 Hana into the transformation portfolio.
  • Monitor the progress and performance of all key transformation programmes, proactively managing key risks.
  • Manage the D&T PMO overseeing the Digital Strategy plan execution and own the D&T plan.
  • Proven Leadership in Global Transformation within large, complex, multinational organisations.
  • Experience managing enterprise-wide transformation programmes, including planning, governance, risk management, and value realization.
  • Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of business models and financial metrics (Commercial Acumen).
  • Solid grasp of change management principles.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills.
  • Skilled in managing delivery risks, resource constraints, and ensuring program alignment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with transformation offices, technical delivery leads, and program managers.
  • Operates independently and takes 'high impact' cross-functional decisions with autonomy.
  • Significantly contributes to long-term, high value strategic relationships with global Technology partners (Vendor Management).
  • Extensive senior stakeholder management across peer cross-functional leaders, direct and regular executive engagement/influence.

Digital and Technology (D&T) in Haleon is responsible for partnering with the business to Transform the business through Technology, IT and Data;, building and operating digital platforms, which are secure, reliable and underpinning everything we do across the company.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join our enterprise-wide, multi-year, business transformation which will be enabled through the latest advancements in Digital and Technology. The transformation program will touch every part of Haleon, ranging from our business functions (Commercial, R&D, Manufacturing and Corporate) as well as every part of the Digital and Technology (D&T) Function.

This role will be the primary interface into the business, a newly formed transformation office and partnering with senior stakeholders to shape and define demand into D&T, along with development and execution to ensure that end-to-end enterprise commitments are successfully delivered. As this is a fast moving and emerging space, this role will be accountable for definition of approach and ways of working in partnership with business & D&T stakeholders. This position is ideal for someone with strong leadership, problem solving, influencing and delivery skills.

The role be pivotal in aligning our Digital & Technology (D&T) priorities with broader transformation efforts across the organisation as well as helping to shape strategy and overseeing delivery of multiple complex programs.

Key Responsibilities

· Act as a strategic liaison between the Digital & Technology Leadership Team, business functions and the Transformation Office, ensuring seamless coordination and alignment across the technology estate.

· Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, HR, business units and programme leads to drive enterprise-wide transformation initiatives.

· Play a central role in supporting our flagship transformation programme, Wired for Excellence (WfE), which currently represents over £800 million in projected benefits and £300 million+ in investment costs.

· Prepare for the integration of SAP S4 Hana into the transformation portfolio.

· Monitor the progress and performance of all key transformation programmes, proactively managing key risks such as resource allocation, business change management, ensure programs stay aligned and help unblock key risks and issues.

· Manage the D&T PMO overseeing the Digital Strategy plan execution and own the D&T plan. Own the D&T sign-off process during formal programme approval stages (Stage Gates).

· Split time between working with the Transformation Office and supporting D&T leaders, ensuring strategic alignment and delivery excellence.

Qualifications & Experience

Proven Leadership in Global Transformation

· Demonstrated success in leading strategic technology initiatives within large, complex, multinational organisations.

Programme Delivery Expertise

· Experience managing enterprise-wide transformation programmes, including planning, governance, risk management, and value realization.

Delivery Methodological Fluency

· Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies, and the ability to apply them appropriately across different programme phases.

Commercial Acumen

· Strong understanding of business models and financial metrics, with the ability to align technology strategy to commercial outcomes.

Change Management Knowledge

· Solid grasp of change management principles and their practical application in transformation environments.

Skills & Capabilities

· Ability to create clarity in complex, interdependent environments and align digital strategy with broader business goals.

· Exceptional communication and influencing skills, comfortable engaging with senior leaders across functions and tech teams.

· Skilled in managing delivery risks, resource constraints, and ensuring program alignment across multiple workstreams.

· Ability to oversee the execution of digital strategy plans, manage PMO functions, and drive delivery excellence across the D&T estate.

· Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with transformation offices, technical delivery leads, and program managers.

· Operates independently and takes 'high impact' cross-functional decisions with autonomy. Consistently exercises judgment to lead resolution of complex problems across entire scope and related interdependencies. Assumes leadership accountability for domain relevant programs/initiatives to ensure key outcomes are met.

· Vendor Management - significantly contributes to long-term, high value (£m's) strategic relationships with global Technology partners. Leader has general management experience relevant to Haleon's scale and complexity, reflected in their scope of control

· Stakeholder Mgmt - extensive senior stakeholder mgmt across peer cross-functional leaders, direct and regular executive engagement/influence. Role requires deep knowledge and expertise across multiple 'expert' functional domains. Role sets professional direction across scope to ensure performance across all KPIs and objectives are met.
