The Head of E-commerce will lead the e-commerce, retail media, and performance marketing strategy for clients at BETC Havas in São Paulo. This role involves identifying growth opportunities, developing commerce frameworks, and integrating digital marketing actions for continuous optimization. The leader will also drive client development, manage strategic projects, and build strong relationships with C-level stakeholders. Key responsibilities include building and inspiring a multidisciplinary team, fostering a data-driven culture, and ensuring alignment across technology, operations, and customer experience.
Must have:
  • Lead e-commerce, retail media, and performance marketing strategy.
  • Identify cross-selling and innovative digital commerce models.
  • Develop differentiated commerce frameworks for clients.
  • Integrate digital marketing, CRM, UX, performance, and analytics.
  • Ensure technology, operations, and customer experience alignment.
  • Monitor KPIs, deliver insights, and report results to leadership.
  • Lead strategic commerce and performance projects, including retail media.
  • Coordinate high-level client presentations, RFPs, and pitches.
  • Strengthen relationships with C-level client stakeholders.
  • Build, manage, and inspire multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop talent in retail media, data, and commerce solutions.
  • Promote a data-driven, results-oriented, and innovation culture.
  • Collaborate with LATAM leadership for solution consistency.
  • Proven senior experience in e-commerce, retail media, or performance marketing.
  • Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms, retail media, CRM, analytics, digital marketing tools.
  • Track record managing large-scale projects and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Fluent in English or Spanish.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic, and stakeholder management skills.
Good to have:
  • Experience in digital agencies or with large advertisers/retailers.
  • Knowledge of UX, AI, marketing automation, and commerce tech stacks.
  • Experience in digital transformation and omnichannel commerce strategies.
  • Familiarity with LATAM markets and global commerce trends.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Head of E-commerce to join our agency in São Paulo.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Commerce, Retail Media & Growth Strategy

  • Define and execute the commerce, retail media, and performance marketing strategy aligned with client and agency objectives.
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities, business growth drivers, and innovative digital commerce models.
  • Lead the development of differentiated commerce assessments and strategic frameworks for clients.
  • Integrate actions across digital marketing, CRM, UX, performance, and analytics to ensure continuous optimization.
  • Ensure alignment between technology, operations, and customer experience, including omnichannel and retail media ecosystems.
  • Monitor KPIs, deliver insights, and report results to leadership and clients.

Client Development & Pitches

  • Lead strategic commerce and performance projects, including retail media activations and omnichannel campaigns.
  • Coordinate high-level client presentations, RFPs, and pitch processes, ensuring innovation and differentiation.
  • Strengthen relationships with C-level client stakeholders, positioning Havas Market as a business growth partner.

Team Leadership

  • Build, manage, and inspire a multidisciplinary team (performance, retail media, technology, UX, data).
  • Develop talent capabilities in retail media, data, and commerce solutions, aligned with global Havas Market standards.
  • Promote a data-driven, results-oriented, and innovation-focused culture across the team.
  • Collaborate with LATAM leadership to ensure consistency and scalability of solutions.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience leading e-commerce, retail media, or performance marketing at senior level.
  • Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms, retail media networks, CRM, analytics, and digital marketing tools.
  • Track record in managing large-scale projects and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Fluent in English or Spanish
  • Excellent analytical skills and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong communication and ability to manage senior stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in digital agencies or working with large-scale advertisers/retailers.
  • Knowledge of UX, AI, marketing automation, and commerce tech stacks.
  • Experience in digital transformation and omnichannel commerce strategies.
  • Familiarity with LATAM markets and global commerce trends.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

We are working in a hybrid model, with three days per week at the agency located in São Paulo.
