Job Description

Luni is seeking a Head of Legal to be the cornerstone of their legal function, reporting directly to the leadership team. The role involves managing commercial, corporate, intellectual property, employment, and strategic projects. The Head of Legal will be responsible for building pragmatic processes, reducing risks, and enabling the company to scale with confidence. Key responsibilities include owning and managing all types of contracts, building scalable templates, supporting negotiations, overseeing corporate governance, leading legal work for partnerships and M&A, drafting and reviewing employment agreements, protecting brand and IP, ensuring data privacy compliance, building internal legal processes, and managing external counsel and legal budgets. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fast-paced in-house roles, strong business acumen, solution-oriented thinking, and excellent communication skills.
Must have:
  • Own and manage all types of contracts

The job 🚀
As Head of Legal, you’ll be the cornerstone of our legal function, working directly with the leadership team across all major areas: commercial, corporate, IP, employment, and strategic projects. You’ll build pragmatic processes, reduce risks, and help us scale with confidence.

👉 What you will do ?

Commercial & Contractual
-Own and manage all types of contracts: client, partner, vendor, etc.
-Build scalable templates and support teams with negotiations.

Corporate & Strategic
-Oversee governance and corporate housekeeping.
-Lead legal work for partnerships, M&A, or international expansion.

Employment & HR Support
-Draft and review employment agreements and policies.
-Advise HR on day-to-day topics and sensitive cases.

Intellectual Property & Data
-Protect our brand and IP (trademarks, content, etc.).
-Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR).

Legal Ops & External Counsel
-Build internal processes and documentation.
-Manage legal budget and relationships with external firms.

Who you are 🧑‍💼
-You have extensive experience, including time spent in fast-paced in-house roles, ideally in a leadership capacity.
-You’re comfortable owning a wide scope—from commercial contracts to corporate governance, employment law, IP, and data privacy (GDPR).
-You’ve led legal support for strategic projects such as partnerships, M&A, or international expansion.
-You’re business-minded and solution-oriented, with the ability to balance legal risk and operational needs.
-You’re a builder: you enjoy setting up scalable processes, templates, and documentation to enable teams.
-You’ve managed external counsel effectively and know how to keep legal budgets under control.
-You’re fluent in English and comfortable working in an international, cross-functional environment.

🏢 This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our French hubs (Bordeaux/Paris). There is a job offer open in each city, but only one vacancy.
