World Relief is rapidly expanding its team to support vulnerable communities globally. This role, Housing Stabilization Enrollment Specialist, involves working with an interdisciplinary team to assist refugees and newcomers with rental assistance applications, budgeting, and referrals. The specialist will conduct outreach, manage applications, ensure accuracy, and communicate with landlords, collaborating with housing and case management teams to ensure clients are familiar with their budget and expectations.
Must have:
  • Provide updated information on application processes to colleagues, eligible applicants, and community partners.
  • Conduct weekly outreach through various methods such as calls, text messages and handing out flyers.
  • Maintain calendar appointments and tracking spreadsheets for referrals and outreach.
  • Complete intake, eligibility determination and enrollment in the HSS program, entering data and updating records.
  • Assist with completion of online applications, with careful attention to details.
  • Follow up with applications and reach out to appropriate channels to quickly resolve issues.
  • Review applications and supporting documentation for accuracy.
  • Upload documents into the appropriate secure database folders.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling client and other stakeholder information.
  • Communicate with landlords about W-9s and payment processes.
  • Ensure each client is familiar with their budget and ongoing expectations around paying rent.
  • Provide clients with information and make referrals to other internal or external resources and services.
  • Collaborate with the housing and case management teams regarding the housing needs of applicants.
  • Attendance at team meetings and training as requested.
  • Participate in certain outreach and welcome events in coordination with the community ambassador team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY:

World Relief seeks a Housing Stabilization Enrollment Specialist who will work with an interdisciplinary team to support refugee and other newcomers who are seeking rental assistance. The Enrollment Specialist will work with a wide range of families and households, helping them with the rental assistance application process, setting budgets, communicating expectations, and also providing information and referral services when clients could benefit from other services and resources.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide updated information on application processes to colleagues, eligible applicants, and community partners regarding availability of funds and steps to apply.
  • Conduct weekly outreach through various methods such as calls, text messages and handing out flyers.
  • Maintain calendar appointments and tracking spreadsheets for referrals and outreach.
  • Complete intake, eligibility determination and enrollment in the HSS program, entering data and updating records for the program.
  • Assist with completion of online applications, with careful attention to details.
  • Follow up with applications and reach out to appropriate channels to quickly resolve issues.
  • Review applications and supporting documentation for accuracy.

  • Other duties as assigned.
