ORGANIZATION SUMMARY

POSITION SUMMARY:
World Relief seeks an R&P Supervisor. The R&P Supervisor provides support, strategy, and vision for the resettlement team. This position oversees the initial reception and placement of refugees and asylees during their first ninety days in the United States.
This is a limited-term position funded through a grant agreement until December 31, 2025 and contingent upon funding extension.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and supervise the Reception & Placement Program activities in coordination with the Resettlement Director/Program Manager for compliance with cooperative agreement and progress towards goals.
- Make decisions about how to implement, structure, and improve delivery of services in order to maximize the ability of the resettlement team’s ability.
- Network with resettlement staff from other offices in the World Relief network to identify best practices to improve service
- Coordinate and convene weekly Resettlement Team Meetings
- Help ensure case files have all necessary documentation and that case notes describe essential areas of resettlement and progress towards self-sufficiency.
- Monitor and authorize all flexible spending to and on behalf of clients.
- Assist Resettlement Director with monitoring program spending and financial reports, training casework staff, and other related tasks as needed.
- Schedule and lead regular staff trainings as necessary
- Build relationships with community partners through regular attendance at various meetings, as necessary
- Responsible for reporting on and monitoring resettlement metrics
- Ensure effective coordination between housing, pre-arrival set-up and case specialist
- Recruit, hire, and train new resettlement staff in conjunction with Resettlement Director.
- PRE-ARRIVAL:
- Process and screen pre-arrival cases for R&P program and its various tracks in coordination with Home Office Resettlement Staff
- Prepare cases in Dynamics for all new arrivals
- Request and keep track of Pocket Money for new cases
- Coordinate with Housing and Pre-Arrival Set-Up team to ensure clients receive furnished housing Maintain timely communication with US-based family members as needed
- POST-ARRIVAL
- Supervise resettlement caseworkers by assigning caseloads and provide ongoing training and program leadership
- Support casework staff in serving newly arriving refugee families through availability for questions, community orientation, resource management, and developing relationships in the community to secure housing and other basic needs.
- Help cover for Caseworkers during busy periods and vacations, including regular airport arrival help, especially during staffing gaps.
- Recruit, coordinate and supervise on-call interpreters.
- Review 90-day reports to ensure completion for submission.
- Meet with participants as necessary to hear their concerns and questions
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Mature and personal Christian faith

- Desire to serve and empower the Church to impact vulnerable communities
- Able to affirm and/or acknowledge World Reliefs Core Beliefs, Statement of Faith, Christian Identity and National Association of Evangelicals' For the Health of The Nation document
- Either Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or refugee/immigrant knowledge/experience required
- Two years of experience working in a multi-cultural, social service setting required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects at one time
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Knowledge of another language desired (Dari, Pashto, Arabic, Swahili, Spanish, etc.)
- Intermediate computer knowledge, including MS Office and the ability to learn new programs. - Management experience preferred
- Ability to perceive needs and initiate solutions to ensure effective resettlement programs
- Confidence in public speaking, including vocalizing opinions and sharing feedback in group settings, and providing constructive feedback to staff
- Ability to perform basic accounting functions in order to produce budgets and track spending
