Job Description

Zeeco is seeking an HSE Officer to join their team in Saudi Arabia. The role involves fostering a robust work environment and collaborating with industry leaders. Responsibilities include adhering to safety policies and procedures, conducting daily safety inspections of facilities and equipment, and reporting unsafe conditions. The officer will also manage records of safety systems, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions. A Bachelor's degree in Safety and Environment Engineering or a diploma with relevant experience is required, along with 3 to 5 years of experience in the field. Awareness of Civil Defense Regulations is also necessary.

Requirements

    • Qualification:  
    • Bachelor of Safety and Environment Engineering or diploma with relative Experience
    • Experience: 
    • 3 to 5years of experience. 
    • Job Specifications: 
    • Awareness of Civil Defense Regulations. 

Responsibilities

    • Follow the Safety policies and procedures in accordance with the department’s Safety plan and the company’s overall objectives and strategy. 
    • Utilize safety inspection checklists for a daily safety inspection at facilities (covering automatic fire detection and fire suppression systems) in all plant areas in compliance with policies and procedures. 
    • Responsible for notification of General Manager on serious issues related to workplace safety and issues which might result in media notification or litigation.  
    • Regularly calibrate all safety equipment and inspect the operability of First Aid supplies, fire equipment, and fire extinguishers where required throughout the site to ensure it is in serviceable and operable order incase of accidents. 
    • Report unsafe conditions and/or unsafe acts of workers. Cordon off dangerous places with a proper fence and provide visible and appropriate warning signs. 
    • Post safety information, instructions, warnings, and danger signs throughout the plant as directed by the general manager. 
    • Maintain records of safety systems and devices including serial numbers, locations and expiry of each. 
    • Determine potential risk areas and take necessary corrective actions for those unsafe conditions. 
    • Apply knowledge of electrical, mechanical, chemical safety concepts during safety inspections with the Manufacturing department.
