Job Description

As an Integration Engineer, you will guide Philips eICU customers through the interface implementation process and serve as the HL7 interface subject matter expert. Your role involves collaborating with the Product group on interface requirements, reviewing documentation, providing training, evaluating client systems, implementing integration solutions, assisting hospital staff with configurations, and resolving complex customer issues. You will also facilitate detailed planning and deliver technical briefings to customers.

  • Facilitate/lead detailed planning with customer IT staff and deliver technical briefings.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience/certificate.
  • 3+ years of interface implementation and product development experience within an HIS vendor or healthcare provider environment.
  • Working knowledge of HL7 standard and its application to ADT, Order, and Results interface integrations.
  • Ability to work independently and as an active, engaged team member.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with executive, technical, and non-technical individuals.

Integration Engineer, eICU (US- Remote)

As an Integration Engineer you will guide Philips eICU customers through the interface implementation process and act as Philips’ HL7 interface subject matter expert for assigned customers.

Your role:

  • Work with the Product group when formulating interface-related requirements, review and provide input to interface related product documentation, provide interface-related training/education to Implementation, QA, and Support. Participate in interface related requirements review and JAD sessions, review of Product Introduction Plan Assist QA in developing real-world interface test scenarios
  • Evaluate information about prospective client interface-related hospital systems, including monitoring networks, direct feed, and interface engine configurations, implement integration solution utilizing documented product procedures, as well as knowledge and skills based on understanding of IT industry practices, Work with Project Manager to establish project interface milestones
  • Assist hospital technical staff in configuring its systems to work with eCareManager interfaces and recommend changes in hospital hardware/software when needed, resolve complex customer issues in creative and effective ways using IT concepts and/or business unit objectives, educate customer on Philips’ interface implementation process, including the integration framework, specification review and interface support, HL7 message review, and test script development
  • Effective teamwork and communication internally and externally. Facilitates/leads detailed planning with customer IT staff and deliver technical briefings to the customer
  • May plan and lead interface-related portions of eICU client beta testing and deployment

You are the right fit if:

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field or equivalent experience/certificate preferred, 3+ years of interface implementation and product development experience within an HIS vendor or healthcare provider environment.
  • Working knowledge of HL7 standard and application of the standard to a variety of ADT, Order, and Results interface integrations, Demonstrated experience with Orion Rhapsody highly desirable
  • Business or technical presentation and/or teaching experience, Project management experience highly desirable, eCareManager experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently as well as be an active, engaged team member, communicate effectively and professionally with executive, technical and non-technical individuals within and outside of Philips

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in AR, AZ, ID, IA, KS, KY, LA, ME, MS, MO, MT, NE, NM, OK, SC, SD, TN, UT or WV is $83,000 to $133,000 per year.

The pay range for this position in AL, CO, DE, FL, GA, IL, IN, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, ND, OH, OR, PA, TX, VT, VA, WI, or WY is $88,000 to $140,000 per year.

The pay range for this position in AK, HI, MD, RI, or WA is $92,000 to $147,000 per year.

The pay range for this position in CA, CT, DC, MA, NJ or NY is $98,000 to $157,000 per year.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
