As a Data Analyst Intern, you will work with data, recognize patterns, and contribute to actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will collaborate with data professionals, gaining valuable insights into the design and implementation of data assets for business and analytics needs, playing a vital role in product success and machine learning advancements. Responsibilities include conducting exploratory data analysis, translating business needs into functional data requirements, and developing data stories through visualizations for stakeholders.
Must have:
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights
  • Translate business needs into functional data requirements
  • Develop and present data stories through visualizations, summaries, and presentations
  • Currently enrolled in a full-time, degree seeking program with an expected graduation date in 2027, with a focus in Economics, Statistics, or a related field
  • Proficiency in SQL or other programming languages for data analysis
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Prior experience with pivot tables and data modeling
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to communicate data insights through storytelling
Good to have:
  • Experience with web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics
  • Experience with scripting/statistical languages such as R, Python or equivalent
  • Experience setting up automated reporting pipeline and ETL process

Position Overview

As a Data Analyst Intern, you’ll work with data, recognizing patterns, and contribute to actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will have the opportunity to work closely with data professionals, gaining valuable insights into the design and implementation of data assets that serve both business and analytics needs, while playing a vital role in product success and machine learning advancements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can improve business decisions or operational efficiency
  • Translate business needs into functional data requirements, ensuring technical feasibility and clear communication of data insights
  • Develop and present data stories through visualizations, summaries, and presentations to provide unbiased, actionable intelligence to key stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in a full-time, degree seeking program with an expected graduation date in 2027, with a focus in Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in SQL or other programming languages for data analysis
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Prior experience with pivot tables and data modeling

About the US Intern Program

The 2026 U.S. program runs for 12 weeks (May 18 – August 7 or June 15 – September 4). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. Our internships align with Autodesk’s Flexible Workplace approach, which is designed to meet the needs of our business while providing flexibility in support of office, remote and hybrid work preferences.

Salary Transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience, educational level, and geographic location, and can exceed this range.

For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting annualized intern base salary to be between:

  • $47,840 and $95,680 (undergraduate students)
  • $72,800 and $118,500 (Masters/MBA students)
  • $118,560 and $162,240 (PhD students)
