Job Description

As a Data Security Intern at Autodesk, you will gain hands-on experience in implementing technical data protection strategies and collaborating across multiple functions. You will work closely with experienced professionals to support the development and implementation of leading data security solutions. This role provides a unique opportunity to learn and contribute to ensuring Autodesk's systems and services meet the highest data security standards and comply with industry practices and regulatory requirements.

Position Overview

As a Data Security Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in implementing technical data protection strategies and collaborating with multiple functions within Autodesk. You will work closely with experienced professionals to support the development and implementation of leading data security solutions. This role provides a unique opportunity to learn and contribute to ensuring that Autodesk's systems and services meet the highest data security standards and comply with industry practices and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing, implementing, and operationalizing solutions to ensure the data security of infrastructure, applications, and systems, including the selection and deployment of cybersecurity technologies
  • Support the oversight of data security throughout the entire lifecycle of infrastructure and services, from design to runtime
  • Help create and establish data security standards, best practices, and assurance processes
  • Contribute to building a comprehensive data catalog and implementing data governance strategies
  • Collaborate with Technical Program Managers (TPMs) and assist in influencing users to define and prioritize backlog related to data protection efforts
  • Ensure alignment of data security strategy with business objectives and participate in reviews to assess effectiveness
  • Participate in efforts to mature capabilities for data classification and inventory, strengthen security baselines for data protection and handling, and ensure solutions meet rigorous data security and compliance requirements
  • Conduct research on new services and emerging technologies that will further enhance data security capabilities
  • Assist in establishing security metrics and defining Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for data protection programs

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information security, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

About the Canada Internship Program
