Job Description

As a Threat Intelligence Intern, you will support the daily operations of our threat intelligence program. You will collaborate on developing, implementing, and maintaining our threat intelligence platform, tools, capabilities, and reporting mechanisms. This is a hands-on technical role that combines security engineering with intelligence creation. Your expertise will be essential in driving initiatives to enhance collection efficiency, thereby producing the necessary intel products to meet intelligence requirements and requests for information. This role will directly support the Threat Intelligence Analysts and Threat Intelligence Engineers.
Must have:
  • Support daily operations of the threat intelligence program.
  • Collaborate on developing, implementing, and maintaining threat intelligence platform, tools, capabilities, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Work closely with intelligence analysts to understand intelligence requirements and determine effective collection means.
  • Prioritize collection efforts, assess validity/reliability of sources, and ensure proper dissemination.
  • Assist with scripting and automation efforts for collections management and stakeholder interaction.
  • Implement and manage API connections for various data sources.
  • Assist with the development, management, and production of Intelligence Requirements.
  • Utilize structured analysis techniques to develop tailored intelligence products and provide threat assessments.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s in computer science, information security, or a related field.
  • Experience with Python scripting, APIs, and automating tasks.
  • Proficiency or curiosity in conducting intelligence collection.
  • Knowledge or curiosity with intelligence operations.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to document technical processes and convey business terms and requirements clearly.

Position Overview

As a Threat Intelligence Intern, you will support the daily operations of our threat intelligence program. You will collaborate on developing, implementing, and maintaining our threat intelligence platform, tools, capabilities, and reporting mechanisms. This is a hands-on technical role that combines security engineering with intelligence creation. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in automating complex processes and an ability to analyze collected data. Your expertise will be essential in driving initiatives to enhance collection efficiency, thereby producing the necessary intel products to meet intelligence requirements and requests for information. This role will directly support the Threat Intelligence Analysts and Threat Intelligence Engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the intelligence analysts to understand the intelligence requirements and determine the most effective means of collecting the required information
  • Prioritize collection efforts, assess the validity/reliability of sources, and ensure proper dissemination of collected information to intelligence analysts.
  • Work closely with intelligence analysts to maintain the Collection Requirements framework. Work with intelligence analysts and intelligence vendors to obtain the relevant information to feed into the Collection Requirement framework
  • Assist with scripting and automation efforts for collections management and stakeholder interaction with produced threat intelligence or synthesized information
  • Implement and manage API connections for various data sources to streamline intelligence collection and analysis
  • Assist with the development, management and production of Intelligence Requirements. Utilize structure analysis techniques to develop tailored intelligence products and provide threat assessments to decision makers
  • Assist the intelligence analysts with developing intelligence products

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s in computer science, information security, or a related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with python scripting, APIs, and automating tasks, such as data collection for Intelligence Requirements
  • Exhibit proficiency or curiosity in conducting intelligence collection
  • Knowledge or curiosity with intelligence operations (Intelligence Requirement Framework, intelligence estimates, WEP wording, ATT&CK, ACH, 5W|2H, I&W, COAs)
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Demonstrated ability to document technical process and convey business terms and requirements clearly

About the Canada Internship Program

The 2026 Canada Internship program runs for 16 weeks (January 5th – April 24th or May 4th – August 21st). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. Our internships align with Autodesk’s Flexible Workplace approach, which is designed to meet the needs of our business while providing flexibility in support of office, remote and hybrid work preferences.
