Job Description

Join Philips for an Agentic AI internship focusing on Fleet Trends & Equipment Diagnostics. You will design, develop, and evaluate an Agentic AI orchestration layer to autonomously translate fleet events and traces data into precise fleet trends and equipment diagnostics. This role involves interface design, data visualization, working with large-scale service data, and applying analytical methods to build high-impact solutions for equipment reliability and fleet management. The internship is full-time, minimum 6 months, starting January-March 2026, with thesis writing possible.
Must Have:
  • Design the robust architecture of the Agentic AI orchestration layer
  • Develop and integrate the core tools (AI/ML models and logical rules) that enable the orchestration layer to accurately infer specific equipment diagnostics and complex fleet trends
  • Generate diagnostics with supporting evidence, including providing supporting data along with visualizations
  • Studying towards your Master degree in engineering, data science, AI, or any computer-related field
Perks:
  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands
  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office

Are you passionate about Agentic AI concepts, data visualization, and building user-friendly analytical tools for real-world industrial applications? Do you want to make a tangible impact on the future of equipment reliability and fleet management? Join us at Philips and contribute to our Agentic AI initiative.

We're looking for enthusiastic and motivated students to help us advance this critical mission. As an intern or thesis student, you'll gain hands-on experience in interface design and development, data visualization, working with large-scale service data, applying analytical methods, and contributing to high-impact solutions.

The primary objective of this internship/thesis is to design, develop, and evaluate the core Agentic AI orchestration layer responsible for autonomously translating fleet events and traces data into precise fleet trends and equipment diagnostics.

Your role:

  • Agentic Architecture Design: Design the robust architecture of the Agentic AI orchestration layer, defining its components for data intake, intelligent processing, and diagnostic output (e.g., using LangGraph).
  • Diagnostic Reasoning Engine Development: Develop and integrate the core tools (AI/ML models and logical rules) that enable the orchestration layer to accurately infer specific equipment diagnostics and complex fleet trends.
  • Insights & Evidence Generation: Generate diagnostics with supporting evidence. This includes providing supporting data along with visualizations, e.g. heat-maps, trends, correlations, that make complex insights easy to interpret and act upon.

You're the right fit if:

  • Studying towards your Master degree in engineering, data science, AI, or any computer-related field
  • Previous experience with agentic AI and the ability to work on an orchestration layer for AI agents
  • Attention to details, structured, pro-active and independent working attitude
  • Excellent English verbal and written skills.

How we work together

You need to provide a rental contract of the land lord, and your normal home-work travel distance need to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) need to be more than 1.5 hours.
  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192,- net
  • Paid holidays per internship term.
  • The opportunity to buy Philips equipment at our Philips shop
