Your Responsibilities

In-cabin sensing is becoming increasingly relevant for NXP’s business. To get more data on the subject a sensing setup is required. With this graduation project, NXP Semiconductors wants to build an in-cabin sensing setup in a test car. The aim is to build up a system which allows for a flexible measurement setup. Different technologies can be used here for sensors and networking. The preferred data collection system is current ROS2, which is already used for other sensors.

This project will be conducted on-site at NXP Semiconductors, located at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. On-site presence is essential due to the need for close supervision, knowledge exchange, and access to specialized hardware and software tools.

Students will work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment at the forefront of technology, supported by experienced colleagues and excellent infrastructure.

Tasks overview:

  • Getting familiar with both the application(s) and the multiple sensors envisioned.

  • Study interconnect of sensors to make a feasible setup.

  • Investigate the available components and build a network demonstrator.

  • Document your progress, results and conclusion in a final report.

What’s in it for you
